Jesus Christ: The Protector of Our Souls

Psalm 18:2

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my mountain where I seek refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

In Matthew 7:24-25 Jesus said that those who hear His Words and puts them into practice even though the waves and winds beat on that house it will not collapse because the Rock is Jesus and He will uphold you. The fortress is a wall that encompasses you and provides protection so that the enemy can’t get to you. Jesus protects you from Satan’s attacks which the fortress would be compared to the Full Armor of God found in Ephesians 6:10-18. How does the protection work? It works by first of all putting your trust and faith in Jesus as Lord and savior in what He did for you on the cross that He died for your sins and on the third day He rose from the grave. The second would be to read the Word of God every day and do what it says so that you would be in right standing with Jesus and He will protect you because you are living a life in obedience and doing His will. If you are in disobedience He would allow the enemy to attack you and defeat you so that you may repent of your sins and turn back to Him. No matter what happens in your life Jesus will always save you from your troubles and demonic bombardments because Jesus promised to those who love Him and put their trust in Him that He will not allow hell itself to conquer you as found in:

Matthew 16:18

And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the forces of Hades will not overpower it.

1 John 5:18

We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.
