(Part 3) Visitations: My testimony about Witchcraft (Santeria)

hqdefault

My family practiced Santeria in my house between the front door and dining room. They would make a circle with one of my uncles in the middle. It was obvious that something was taking control of him (he was possessed). He was telling those around the circle things they had to do to get out of their bad circumstances or for other reasons. What you need to understand is that when you open up the door inviting demons into one’s house through these practices, they will never leave your home. This was the reason that as a child, seeing them in my house was almost expected.

When I was young I used to sleep next to my mother. One night I remember waking up when it was still night time. I was facing the opposite side of my mother. I was sleeping on my left side and with my right hand I went to feel if she was still there with me. I didn’t feel her next to me so I started to turn to her side to take a look to make sure if she was there and to my shock, I saw a man sleeping next to me. Mind you, the only people in my house at the time was me, my mother and my uncle. My eyes widened to its full capacity and I looked at this person from head to toe. I was so frightened that instead of getting off the bed to the left of me, I scooted from where I was to the foot of the bed (I took the long way to get off the bed because of my fear). The thing that I saw which I now know, was a demon that looked like this; He was cross-eyed wearing a Cuban shirt called a guayabera traditionally worn as a going out shirt with church pants. He was real still and didn’t move nor look at me at all. I ran downstairs where my mother and uncle were. I told them frantically that there was someone upstairs in the room. My uncle headed upstairs and found no one and laughed at me like I made it up.

Another night, my cousins were in my house and all of us were sleeping on the same bed. I remember the door from the room was open and I could see across the hall to the next room. The room across the hall had the door open as well. All of a sudden I saw a demon coming out of the room across the hall to where I was. It looked like a knight from the medieval times. It was glowing with a bright light and was like see through. When the demon would start to come to where I was, I would put the covers over my face and when I took the covers out of my face to look at its direction, it would start all over again coming out of the room. Why he would do that I have no idea. My guess is that thing just wanted to mess with me. I thought to myself, let me see what happens if I keep looking at it and see what he will do. I did just that and to my terrifying surprise, the demon made his way to the door of my room. I kept looking with dreadful fear and he came to the foot of my bed then he turned to the right and made a left to go straight where I was sleeping. When he did this, fear was too great for me to keep watching I just covered myself quickly and did not dare to look again.

Another paranormal incident occurred when I was taking a shower and from the corner of my eye I saw as clear as day a hand opening the curtain. I just held my breath for action I quickly slung the curtain open and threw a punch. What else could I have done without having the Holy Spirit at the time. I reacted according to my fear. The hand looked like a werewolf’s hand with long black nails and was very hairy. Believe it or not, I did know that God existed so I prayed to the best that I knew how and asked God to please let me not see this again. Guess what, it happened again but this time it wasn’t a werewolf’s hand but it was normal. This time I just took a shower with the curtain opened because I had had enough of creepy hands trying to open the curtain. I didn’t want water to get all over the place from the curtain being open so I started taking showers throwing water over myself using a cup. I did this for weeks until everything went back to normal. Shortly after this when I was 13, I met a man who shared the gospel with me and I repented and asked Jesus to be my Lord and savior. After I got saved, I stopped seeing demons in my house but I started to dream a lot like never before. They now were attacking me in my dreams. I would like to share one of them that I had back in 2012. In the dream I was in the house I grew up in (the one where my relatives practiced Santeria) and in my backyard was my family having a party or a get together. All of a sudden, one of my cousins said to me, “So and so is asking for you or looking for you.” I saw a black shadow coming towards me and I knew in my dream that it was a demon. The black shadow transformed into a man and he was bald headed with a nicely trimmed beard. He said to me, “What must I do for you to worship me?” I sarcastically said, “Did you die for me on the cross?” He looked down and shook his head with his palm to his forehead. He then said “Everyone wants to be rich. If I make you a millionaire would you then worship me?” I said no and then I awoke from dreaming. I told my wife immediately what I dreamt and she reminded me of this verse in scripture.

Matthew 4:8-11
8 Again, the Devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 And he said to Him, “I will give You all these things if You will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus told him, “Go away, Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve only Him.” 11 Then the Devil left Him, and immediately angels came and began to serve Him.

My hope is that these personal testimonies will help those who might be going through the same thing. I am living proof that God will protect you and rescue you from all troubles and attacks from the enemy. I grew up into an extreme situation delved in paranormal practices where Satan was and is still god to most of my family members. Amid all that darkness, the Lord protected and saved me so likewise He will do the same for you. May the Lord bless all who read this and find comfort that He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Joshua 1:9
Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

(Part 2) First Attack: My testimony about Witchcraft (Santeria)

demonic attack

Demons attacked my mother’s mind to destroy us

I know I was going to talk about the things I saw in my house but this story which happened to me and my mother is very serious. If you have a weak heart do not read further. This testimony took place when I was about 7 years of age. I was attending a private elementary school and when I came home one evening, little did I know that I was entering my first real demonic attack which by far physically speaking, was the strongest I ever witnessed. Since my family was into Santeria, it was only a matter of time before those demons would turn on them and it did on that dreadful day…on me and my mother. It was me my aunt Rosa, my mother and cousins with ages ranging from 5 to 11 who were at the house that evening. I lived in a townhouse being made up of two floors and the inside floor had carpeting. I mentioned the carpet specifically for a reason and you will see why later. The outside of the house had a metal fence with spikes on top to keep anyone from trying to climb in to our front yard. Ironically, to the left was a wooden fence that was very easy to climb so the metal gate seemed quite pointless if you think about it.
I remember my mother telling me that she wanted me to go to the neighbor’s house. Being 7, I didn’t understand why but later on knew that she was hearing voices in her head telling her “ They are coming to kill you and your son.” They kept repeating this over and over. She was having a nervous breakdown and decided to end her life and myself as well. I don’t remember if the demons themselves were the ones telling her to kill herself and me or she thought that it was better to fall in her hands instead of the others. Even though she didn’t have the Holy Spirit, by God’s grace and mercy she decided to send me to the neighbors. My aunt stopped me from going next door. She asked my mother why she wanted me gone and then all hell broke loose.
My mother grabbed alcohol or something flammable and a lighter. She proceeded to go upstairs to her room which I followed. My eyes opened wide and saw something that one only sees in the movies. I saw my mother trying to set her hair on fire to no avail since the lighter wasn’t working. I kept watching her try and try to start the lighter then to my HORROR….one measly spark ignited her whole hair and now her head was on fire. She quickly past by me going down the stairs and what I remember to this day was from the left corner of her head fire droppings landed on each step making burn marks all over the carpet. I was scared out of my mind all I was thinking was to get out of there but remember the metal gate I mentioned ( I wasn’t going anywhere). I didn’t know how to climb since I was very young but my cousins climbed the wooden fence and left me all alone. I remember in the past my mother told me that there was a God in heaven called Papa Dios. In English is Father God so with my little two hands I grabbed the metal gate looking up to heaven calling out in despair and weeping “Father God help me, Father God help me.” I kept looking back at the house imagining that the house was going to be consumed by fire and that the flames were going to reach out to me, grab me and burn me to death. God, who’s mighty and righteous full of mercy, looked down from heaven and came to my rescue. My aunt who was 4 ’11 was trying to wrestle with my mother who was 5 ‘2-3 and heavier. My aunt managed to bring my mother outside, mind you I was still screaming and weeping for God to help me, she took the water hose and turned off the fire on top of my mother’s head. 911 was called and at the hospital they took skin from her legs and crafted them to her neck area. When you would look at my mother after the incident it didn’t look like she went through anything. That was the only time that the enemy had that type of physical manifestation through my mother. The years went on and for the strangest reason, it never bothered me or gave me nightmares which I would think it would since I was little. My mother died in 2005 but before her death some of her friends who are born again Christians spoke to her about the Lord and prayed. They told me that she accepted Jesus as Lord and savior. The only way to deal with the enemy is with Jesus and that means when you are lazy to read or pray that’s when you need it the most. I hope and pray that you may see the enemy has one purpose in mind and that’s your destruction. Remember my brothers and sisters in Christ…armor up because our number has been called. A spiritual attack is not a matter of possibility but of when, therefore you must be ready.

In Part 3 I will go into more detail in witnessing demons in my house. I shared this personal testimony to show the love of Christ that even though I was small and my mom didn’t worship Him that He heard my cries for help and delivered me from my troubles.

Psalms 18:6
I called to the Lord in my distress,
and I cried to my God for help.
From His temple He heard my voice,
and my cry to Him reached His ears.

(Part 1) Introduction: My testimony about Witchcraft (Santeria)

santeria-is-cubas

I want to share my personal testimony while I was living with my mom. My mom, along with her brothers and sisters practiced Santeria (Witchcraft). This will be Part 1 of that testimony with more in the future. I want for those who will read this to understand that we as Christians are under attack by the enemy constantly. There are people in this world that the demons use to harm other people through Santeria and other occultic practices. It is very vital for Christians to always have the full armor of God through the reading of His Word daily and by prayer so that by His strength, we are equipped and can combat the demonic forces.

My experience or coming face to face with Santeria (Witchcraft) before I was even aware of it started when I was in my mother’s womb. When I was older my mother explained how she almost lost me during her pregnancy. She said, “The doctor confined me to bed rest and light work because she had multiple miscarriages in the past so she had to be careful with this one (me).” She continued, “I had two dreams about the Lord. The 1st dream was a demon was coming to harm my baby (me) and an angel appeared and said we must get Jesus for help. The 2nd dream was that the Lord Himself came down and when the demon was going to harm me, Jesus rebuked the demon and said, “Get away from him for he is my chosen one.” I was amazed when she told me these dreams let alone that someone did witchcraft to my mother so I wouldn’t be born but because of Jesus, I am here today to do His will and glorify His name. For those who don’t know what Santeria is here is a quick synopsis:

An African-based religion similar to voodoo, originating in Cuba, which integrates the worship of traditional Yoruban deities with the worship of Roman Catholic saints.

The following is a general outline on how they practice this occult religion:

Deities: God is referred to as Olorun, or Olódùmarè, the “owner of heaven”. He is the supreme deity, the creator of the universe, and of the lesser guardians, called Orisha. Each of the latter has an associated Christian Saint, a principle, important number, color, food, dance posture and emblem. The Orishas need food in the form of animal sacrifice, and prepared dishes, as well as human praise in order to remain effective.
Ritual Sacrifices: These form an integral part of many Santerian religious rituals. The animal’s blood is collected and offered to the Orisha. Chickens are the most common animal used. Their sacrifice is believed to please the Saints, and to bring good luck, purification and forgiveness of sins.
Possession: Rhythmic sounds and feverish dancing during Santerian rituals are believed to lead to possession of the individual by the particular Orisha being invoked. The individual then speaks and acts as the Orisha.

Deuteronomy 18:10-13
10 There must not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or who uses divination, or uses witchcraft, or an interpreter of omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who casts spells, or a spiritualist, or an occultist, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God will drive them out from before you. 13 You must be blameless before the Lord your God.

I personally have witnessed some of these practices with my family while attending Santeria services in other peoples houses and my own . To this day, my family still practice and worship these so called gods which are demons in masquerade, whom they are really worshiping.

1 Corinthians 8:5-6
5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth—as there are many “gods” and many “lords”— 6 yet for us there is one God, the Father. All things are from Him, and we exist for Him. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ. All things are through Him, and we exist through Him.

1 Corinthians 10:19-21
19 What am I saying then? That food offered to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? 20 No, but I do say that what they sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God. I do not want you to participate with demons! 21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot share in the Lord’s table and the table of demons.

In part 2 I will continue to share the things I witnessed with my family and disclose the demons I personally saw when I was younger walking in my house. I want to end this quick introduction of my personal testimony with these wonderful truths that the LORD is the true living God.

Jeremiah 10:10-15
10 But Yahweh is the true God; He is the living God and eternal King. The earth quakes at His wrath, and the nations cannot endure His rage. 11 You are to say this to them, “The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under these heavens.” 12 He made the earth by His power, established the world by His wisdom, and spread out the heavens by His understanding. 13 When He thunders, the waters in the heavens are in turmoil, and He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain and brings the wind from His storehouses. 14 Everyone is stupid and ignorant. Every goldsmith is put to shame by his carved image, for his cast images are a lie; there is no breath in them. 15 They are worthless, a work to be mocked. At the time of their punishment they will be destroyed.

Are you praying everyday? Let’s see what God thinks about prayer

PRAYER-SERIES

Why is prayer so Important?

Intercessions for others:

Numbers 11:1-2

Now the people began complaining openly before the LORD about hardship. When the LORD heard, His anger burned, and fire from the LORD blazed among them and consumed the outskirts of the camp. 2 Then the people cried out to Moses, and he prayed to the LORD, and the fire died down.

Job 1:5

Whenever a round of banqueting was over, Job would send for his children and purify them, rising early in the morning to offer burnt offerings for all of them. For Job thought: Perhaps my children have sinned, having cursed God in their hearts. This was Job’s regular practice.

Matthew 5:44

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

When one feels sick:

James 5:14-15

14 Is anyone among you sick? He should call for the elders of the church, and they should pray over him after anointing him with olive oil in the name of the Lord. 15 The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will restore him to health; if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

For the Believer’s growth:

Philippians 1:9-11

9 And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment, 10 so that you can approve the things that are superior and can be pure and blameless in the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

Colossians 1:9-10

9 For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, 10 so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God.

For the salvation of others:

Romans 10:1-2

Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God concerning them is for their salvation! 2 I can testify about them that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

Prayer strengthens you so you won’t fall into temptation:

Matthew 26:40-41

40 Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping. He asked Peter, “So, couldn’t you stay awake with Me one hour? 41 Stay awake and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

It is the believer’s responsibility to pray for others:

1 Samuel 12:23

“As for me, I vow that I will not sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you. I will teach you the good and right way.

If one wants to be close to the LORD:

Psalm 145:18

The LORD is near all who call out to Him, all who call out to Him with integrity.

Do not worry so much in what to pray for:

Romans 8:26

In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings.

Always confess your sins to the LORD through prayer:

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Let’s give thanks to the Lord today

prayer

Psalms 96:3

Declare His glory among the nations, His wonderful works among all peoples.

Lord I praise You and honor You because You are a God who saves, heals and forgive our debts. Thank You Lord my God for all of Your blessings which You have showered on us with, for we have what we need because of You. Thank You Lord Jesus for Your great salvation, for by Your stripes we are healed and taking our punishment upon Yourself so that we may have eternal life through faith in You and be with You forever.

Isaiah 53:3

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Your love O Lord made You die for us and I pray that my love for You may always be a living sacrifice showing how much You mean to me. May the name of Jesus Christ be exalted, praised, honored and glorified forever and ever. In Jesus name I say these things, Amen.
