Doubt: A Tactic from Satan

James 1:6
But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind.

What is doubt and who pushes doubt in a person?

Doubt is the opposite of trust, if you pray asking the LORD for help and at the same time don’t believe that he will come through then your spiritual direction is anywhere but God’s. Doubt is Satan’s device to defuse you from being used by God to do His will. In Genesis 3:1 it says “Now the serpent was the most cunning of all the wild animals that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You can’t eat from any tree in the garden’?” Satan was planting a seed of doubt in Eve’s mind to destroy her and sever her relationship with the LORD. A doubter gets tossed here and there by the waves of false teachings as found in
Ephesians 4:13-14
13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness. 14 Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit.

If anyone says to you that the lie from the enemy is not to doubt, that person is going against sound teaching and is unbiblical. Those who teach this are teaching false doctrine and going by one’s feelings instead of what the Bible says. Feelings betray but the Word of God stands firm and reveals the Truth. Jesus is our Anchor that keeps us from being tossed all over the place by demonic doctrine through meditating in His Word day and night. Believe it or not this is being taught and I was shocked when I found out. Nothing surprises me anymore since the enemy will try anything to deceive.
