Spiritual Landmines: Being Gay is OK

2 Thessalonians 2:3
Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction.

Apostasy in Greek is Apostasia which means; “leave, depart,” which is derived from 575 /apó, “away from” and 2476 /histémi, “stand”) – properly, departure (implying desertion); apostasy – literally, “a leaving, from a previous standing.” Strong’s #646

Those in the Christian world who “believe” that being gay is OK has stepped into a gigantic Landmine and is in absolute danger of being forever blown up to spiritual pieces. One of the biggest Landmines that Christians are facing today is homosexuality. The churches are being pressured to affirm this lifestyle, embrace it as not being sinful therefore apostatizing.

Landmines: A bomb hidden under the ground that explodes when a person or vehicle moves over it. –Macmillan Dictionary

The world/society is entering into our churches by the direction of demons and placing landmines all over for those who are close to salvation but haven’t yet decided to give their lives to Jesus, who happen to move over and step on a mine and destroy their chances in getting saved as found in 2 Corinthians 11:3 which says, “But I fear that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds may be seduced from a complete and pure devotion to Christ.”

The only thing that Satan and his fallen angels desire from you is your immediate destruction.

To detect a Landmine one must train in what to look for and see anything on the ground that looks out of place that could be a potential bomb waiting for you to step on. Christians must read God’s Word daily to spot deception heading their way so they won’t step on it and die spiritually or get handicapped (living in a state of sin) and render the believer for a time useless until they repent and get right with God.

2 Peter 2:20-21
20 For if, having escaped the world’s impurity through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in these things and defeated, the last state is worse for them than the first. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy command delivered to them.
