Cookie a day: Rejoice when you are insulted for Christ sake

7 Listen to Me, you who know righteousness,
the people in whose heart is My instruction:
do not fear disgrace by men,
and do not be shattered by their taunts.
8 For the moth will devour them like a garment,
and the worm will eat them like wool.
But My righteousness will last forever,
and My salvation for all generations.

Isaiah 51:7-8

When people malign and attack you verbally, calling you all sorts of names because of your faith in Christ, remember this verse because at the end they will eat those words they spewed out against the Lord and you. But never forget to pray for them that the Lord may have mercy on them to bring them to their senses so that they may put their trust in Jesus Christ before it’s too late.

This Cookie is dedicated to believers including myself in WordPress who have been attacked because of our faith in Jesus. I say let’s all of us rejoice because God counted us worthy to participate in being insulted for His sake.

Acts 5:41

Then they went out from the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to be dishonored on behalf of the Name.

      1. The Bible says that we are all born in sin and are guilty before a righteous God. God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die in our place so that He may take the punishment that we deserved upon Himself. Jesus love you and I so much that He chose to die so that we won’t die spiritually and go to the Lake of Fire or Hell. Just look at it in this way: A friend who chooses to die for his friend so that he may live.

      2. I never claimed that, those are Jesus’ Words in John 14:6 which says, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life no one can come to the Father except through Me.” The Bible is not a message of condemnation but of salvation. Imagine your taking a boat ride but before you go the captain tells you what to do in an emergency. The Scriptures is saying that we are all in danger and is telling us how to survive. Jesus is our life saver. Jesus loves you so much that He died for you. Which of your atheist friends would do that for you since they believe in survivor of the fittest. They would let you die if that meant to they would live, while Jesus did the oppose it.

      3. That’s exactly what the Bible says and I believe. Unless you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ you will go to Hell. Not only for you but for me and everyone else.

      4. Thank you for answering honestly. Not only do I feel there is insufficient evidence for belief in your god, but I find the fact that someone would support such a malicious god, frankly, disgusting.

      5. You have a right to reject a God of love that wants to save you. To say a malicious God, frankly you talking out of pure ignorance. Basically you are saying that if a judge condemns a crimal he is a good judge but if the judge of the universe condemns sinners who reject Him He is evil. We are all guilty, keep thinking that your good but your not. We all are greedy, liars, thieves in some sort, lusting after other women….etc. God has to judge us as guilty that’s why He sent Jesus to pay our doubt of sins.

      6. If your judge got down from his bench after convicting someone and began to endlessly torture the convicted felon I would think that judge is a monster.

Your god would be even wirse than the hypothetical judge because he would do it beyond death with no escape.

        That’s what you support.

      7. You go to hell because you chose too regardless if you think it’s fare or not, that’s the reality. Do crimals pick their punishments no. Jesus is giving you a way out today…I pray that you take it by putting your faith in Jesus Christ.

      8. I’m glad that I don’t support the ideas that lead people to think that bloody torture is a kind of love. These are dangerous ideas and I’m not sure how you sleep at night knowing you support such a system.

  1. Hell was created for Satan and his minions. But when people reject the sovereignty of God, they are acting like Satan, and so people share the same fate, lasting for eternity because of the God-breathed soul inherent in the person which is eternal. People cannot fathom the concept of eternal punishment but what is truly worse than that is daring to go against God simply because they refuse to accept they have finite, limited understanding.
