Being Rooted in the Word of God

Those who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ but are not planted by the stream (God’s Word), they will be uprooted and eventually their faith WILL die indicating that they were never planted by God.

Psalms 1:1-3

1 How happy is the man
who does not follow the advice of the wicked
or take the path of sinners
or join a group of mockers!
2 Instead, his delight is in the Lord’s instruction,
and he meditates on it day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted beside streams of water
that bears its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.

Happy in Hebrew is esher which means: happiness, blessedness.

When a person does not participate or take advice from those who are against God, God in turn will bless you and be with you which will bring you happiness and fulfillment in your life.

Delight in Hebrew is chephets (khay’-fets) which means: desire, pleasure.

Lord’s instruction in Hebrew is torah which means: direction, instruction, law

When you get to the point that you desire from within your soul the Word of God and it brings you pleasure to hear from Him to learn His righteousness, your faith becomes stronger and God’s plan for your life will become clearer. Your faith regardless of your circumstances, will be as solid as a rock, immovable. You WILL produce fruits as evidence of walking in God’s will. No matter what the enemy throws at you to discourage you from walking in the way of the Lord, it will not detour you from God’s direction because you delight and live according to God’s Word. You are blessed when the foundation of your house (family) is built on the Word of God. For the Word of God is like an anchor that no storm from hell can move you from the path that God has set before you.

      1. I think it was a good addition. Of course I don’t believe one truly saved can ever lose it, but even a save person who fails to stay grounded in The Bible can mess things up so bad that you might wonder.

      2. A true follower of Jesus Christ will still be rooted. But, those who claim to be Christians and are not rooted but fall away from God’s Word were never converted in the first place according to:
        1 John 2:19
They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us.
