Cookie a day: God Uses Difficult Times In One’s Life For The Blessings Of Others And Yourself

12 Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has actually resulted in the advance of the gospel, 13 so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard, and to everyone else, that my imprisonment is in the cause of Christ.

Philippians 1:12-13

You might find yourself in a bad situation one day, whatever that might be, but let’s remember that it is an opportunity that God has given you for the spreading of the gospel to save the lost. We see this in the Book of Genesis when Joseph was sold as a slave by his own brothers not knowing that through his difficult time as a slave, it was the means that God used to save the lives of his brothers and many others as well from total annihilation from famine.

Genesis 50:20

You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result–the survival of many people.

  1. Reblogged this on History Speaks Now! and commented:
Absolutely true. I have been in many troubles and have passed the phase with great difficulty. But I see many coming to me and asking what to do?. It’s easy to comfort others when we say ‘I totally understand. I too went this process”.
    Praise God in all situations.

    1. What you just said is 100% why we go through trials. You reminded me of a verse in 2 Corinthians 1:4 which says, “He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
Now, you see how God is using you.
