14 May the day I was born be cursed. May the day my mother bore me never be blessed.
15 May the man be cursed who brought the news to my father, saying, “A male child is born to you,” bringing him great joy.
Sometimes we can get so depressed that life as we know it is meaningless. To have died in our mother’s womb would have been a better fate than to go through misery in this life. When the eyes of believers are not focused on God’s promises found in scripture then hope seems to have been dissolved, bringing hopelessness and despondency. The Lord promises that if you come to Him, He will uphold you and give you rest. Bring your depression to the Lord today. He is waiting to give you rest from it.
28 “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
