Cookie a day: Nothing Is Pure To The World (The Unbelievers)

15 To the pure, everything is pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; in fact, both their mind and conscience are defiled. 16 They profess to know God, but they deny Him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, and disqualified for any good work.

Titus 1:15-16

Pure in Greek is katharos (kath-ar-os’) which means clean, pure, unstained
Definition: clean, pure, unstained, either literally or ceremonially or spiritually; guiltless, innocent, upright.

Anyone in a high position or not in the church whose lifestyle doesn’t profess Jesus Christ is a weed that can become deadly to those around them. Since they don’t have the Holy Spirit and God’s Word planted in their hearts, anything filthy that enters their ears is not filtered but absorbed.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:18-20 18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit; neither can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So you’ll recognize them by their fruit. A person’s way of life will either reflect Jesus or the world. Whatever the person reflects is what he/she will become. Bearing fruits that will be for either God’s glory or theirs.

  1. I’ve seen profanity surface in a professing believer’s post. Not to be judgmental here but professing Christians actually pressed like which is quite mind boggling. Honestly, seeing profanity in a casual post does not equate transparency. It only shows a lack of discretion and discernment. We know we all fall short but there is no excuse for that especially if we are talking about the things of God.
