Cookie a day: There’s Only One Mediator

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

1 Timothy 2:5

We only serve and believe in one God, who was manifested in the person of Jesus Christ. To pray to anyone else besides the Lord is a sin, making Jesus one of many that can help you in sanctification, for only Jesus was the One who died for your sins. No one else can take the place of mediator but Jesus alone.

  1. You can attribute praying to dead saints as twisting scriptures since those in the false system that encourages this kind of thing reason that the physically dead saints are in God’s presence therefore they can intercede for the ones praying to them attributing them as mediators…

We are warned in 1 Corinthians 4:6 “not to go beyond what is written.”

    1. I agree with what you said and it brings to mind what Deuteronomy 18:11 which says, ” 11 cast spells, consult a medium or a familiar spirit, or inquire of the dead. 12 Everyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and the Lord your God is driving out the nations before you because of these detestable things.”

Praying to the dead is considered another form of participation in witchcraft.
