Cookie a day: Only A Changed Person Can Worship The Lord

Entering the house, they saw the child with Mary His mother, and falling to their knees, they worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

According to verse 10 in the same chapter, it says that when the wise men saw the star they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. The first thing they did in the presence of the Lord was to worship Him, secondly, they brought Him gifts of gratitude. When we go into the presence of the Lord in prayer we must do it with a joyful and humble spirit so that we can worship Him. Bring Him a gift of sacrifice, something that you did for His glory to show your gratitude for receiving eternal life from Jesus.

According to the Book of Matthew 2:10-11 it shows three signs of a converted person.

  1. Rejoiced with exceedingly great joy: A heart that has been changed through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
  2. Worship Him: A Christian who submits to the Word of God.
  3. They opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts: A person that’s born again gives everything he treasures and puts it into the His hands for the glory of the Lord.
