Calmness Before The Storm

The storm will come.

Even though I think that things well get better with the new administration, it is only for a short time so that the Christians will get a time of rest. This resting period is for building up our faith because what’s coming soon will be unparalleled since time began, the Antichrist. Things will get worse according to Matthew 24:21 which says, “21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.”

Now is the time to dig deeper into the Word of God. For the Word of God is the Armor of God to fight against the demonic forces of evil (Ephesians 6). We must measure everything with God’s Word because Satan can masquerade as an angel of light ready to deceive the unsuspecting (2 Corinthians 11:14). Jesus said in Matthew 4:4 “Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

We know that Jesus didn’t say any random thing to Satan but quoted the Book of Deuteronomy (8:3), showing us the importance of scripture. The Lord will not give you new revelation because the New Testament is the completion of God’s Word to men which makes us complete for all righteousness.

2 Timothy 3:14-17

14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

I will be honest, I love God’s Word, it is a joy to read it every day and hear from the Lord through His Word. The Bible says in Isaiah 55:11 “so My word that comes from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do.”

Jesus will fulfill at His second coming Isaiah 55:11 because Jesus was sent from the Father to accomplish His will and Jesus is called “The Word of God” (Revelation 19:13).

John 6:37-40

37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
