Today I got a pingback from an atheist who takes pleasure in maligning believers in Jesus Christ. Here is a quick bio of Bruce which he put public.

Bruce Gerencser, 59
Bruce pastored Evangelical churches for 25 years in Ohio, Texas, and Michigan. Bruce left the ministry in 2005 and in 2008 he left Christianity. Bruce is now a humanist and an atheist.
The question that enters my mind is why do atheists hate Jesus so much as to go out of their way to attack Him and try so desperately to prove that He is false? I think that the answer is because deep down in their spirit/heart they know that the Word of God is true and judgment will come to them but, they want to feel better about their sin and rejection of Christ Jesus so by trying to disprove Christianity, they are trying to convince themselves, listen closely, “they are trying” to convince themselves of their own lie which Satan has whispered into their ears so that they can’t get saved. When a person is not in any perceivable danger, they won’t call for help and Satan is successful at convincing these atheists that they are not in danger.
The evidence that God exists is so overwhelming that the only way to go against pure evidence is by reprogramming their thoughts to completely bypass logic and reason.
Bruce Gerencser is a sad case of what an apostate is and the reality is that those who are not grounded in the faith will get hit hard by the devil who’s eyes are constantly on the believers. Saying that, I believe according to 1 John 2:19 that Bruce was never saved but was close and those without the Holy Spirit cannot stand against the pounding of the wind and waves of the enemy according to Matthew 7:26-27 which says, “26 And every one who hears these sayings of Mine and does not do them will be likened to a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house. And it fell. And its fall was great.”
Why have I mentioned this atheist by name? It is because I want all Christians to bring Bruce Gerencser’s name before the Lord for his salvation because the hell that’s waiting for him and all those who believe Satan’s lie is truly and unfathomably horrific.
Spiritual Minefield

They never whole heartily gave themselves to the Lord. Their hearts were from Jesus.
Let me ask you a question. If you gain a good friend who comes to your house and shares with you his life then one day he decides that he wants nothing to do with you. Wouldn’t you assume that he was never a real friend? A real friend will never abandon you, if he did, he was never a good friend was he?
“Did anyone ever get a word of knowledge or a hint they their salvation want real?”
Do the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, or any other false religion thing that they are not saved? That’s what you call deception. Many people profess what they don’t really believe. They might fool you and me, but not God.

God right now is trying to extend His love to you, Limey. At the same time, He is giving you free will. The Lord is not going to force Himself on you if you don’t want Him.

Yes He did. Many Christians went to Bruce, telling him that he needs to repent and go back to Jesus. Read 2 Corinthians 5:20 at the bottom. God uses other Christian to speak to the apostates to come back. What was Bruce’s response? Laughed at them. You see, Bruce and other apostates refuse to repent and have Jesus forgive them.

Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God.

Do you see what I mean. Look on how you treat God. What what you say about Him. How in the world is He ever going to answer any of your prayers, if you decide to, or give you any type of explanation with that type of attitude?

Of course they whole heartedly gave themselves. That’s what I’ve been trying to get across to you. To suggest otherwise is to be dishonest to the extreme.
If I have a friend who comes to my house and shares their life with me, but I never reciprocate, never show myself in person, yet expect them to adore me. Then, having got impatient with me they start to beg me to reveal myself more personally and instead I remain silent, ignoring their request. If, having constantly and consistently ignored them, they give up with my childish behaviour and leave. Then that is all my fault. I didn’t treat them with kindness and respect, I didn’t hold to my end of the bargain, I didn’t fulfil the promises given them to always be there for them. The failure of the relationship is my fault, not theirs. They didn’t want to leave, but they were forced to by my poor behaviour.
So it is with god. The Christian god is the worse possible friend and the worst possible parent. This is why the numbers of Christians leaving are increasing. How many more need to leave before you realise this yourself?

The Lord Jesus Christ will not force anyone to stay if their heart is bent on leaving Him. Jesus Christ will never force a person to love Him. He wants genuine love form a person. How about you, Limey, do you want to give Jesus Christ a chance? Why are you here and what is really bothering you? If something wasn’t bothering you, you wouldn’t give me the time and day with all your opinions and questions.
I know that when I’m asking questions, it is because I’m in a state of looking for answers. If I wasn’t, I would have been doing something else.
So, Limey, what’s your concern and how can I help you?

You can help me by acknowledging that those who leave Christianity were once genuine Christians and they only left because they ended up in a place where they simply could no longer believe in a god. If the Christian god does in fact exist, then that god failed them. If you can’t accept those facts, then you are incapable of helping me.

You want me to go against the Scriptures that disagree with your so-called facts. I cannot deny what 1 John 2:19 says. What was your goal, limey, coming to me? Are you trying to convince me not to believe in what the Bible calls apostates/false Christians, or was there something else you were trying to get at?
I don’t understand your motive. You or anyone else cannot convince me otherwise because the Bible says it, I believe it. Bruce and people like him were never Christians, they were false converts. Just read 1 John 2:19.

What the bible says about former Christians makes the Christian god look bad. What your theology says about former Christians makes your god look bad. I want nothing to do with such an unforgiving and capricious god.
If you are too blinkered to accept this, those who are reading this might have a better chance at understanding this.

Your purpose is void and false because God’s Word clearly shows what a false Christian looks like versus a genuine one.

Wrong, men wrote the Bible through the Holy Spirit. It’s like saying that the pen wrote the letter instead of recognizing that the person using the pen is the one who wrote it. The Holy Spirit used men to write His inspired Word.
In reference to translating it, in 2 Peter 1:21, it says, “21 For no such prophecy was ever brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

Of course, it does. Look what Hebrews 4:12-13 says, “12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”

So, if a person who claimed to love God but in reality never did and wanted to leave him shows that he was never committed, shows God in a bad light because of the other person’s choice. Your logic is bizarre at best. You clearly have zero clues of what the Bible teaches concerning the topic of apostasy. You are putting on God something that you, yourself will not tolerate.

Jesus Christ came and died for your sins and rose from the grave to give you an opportunity for your sins to be forgiven, and you say that God is unforgiving, how preposterous. It seems that pride has filled your heart. God can’t forgive a person who thinks of himself to be high and mighty.

No, the reality is that you are too prideful to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord is Savior because you think that you evolved from a monkey without any evidence and that you are too good for what Jesus did for you on the cross. That is what you call foolish. May the Living God have mercy on your soul.

I know now why you kept defending Bruce and fighting the concept of apostasy because you are one also. I just heard a little of you and your wife on a podcast. I can tell you, Limey, you were never a Christian but you still have a chance to truly get saved.

The reason I sound better on the podcast is because I wasn’t faced with someone, who doesn’t know me, telling me that they know my own mind better than I do. if someone was to speak to me on my podcast the way you’re speaking to me here, I would give them similar short shrift.
I was a Christian to the same degree that you are a Christian now. Those that knew me as a Christian know that I was a Christian, and their opinion holds much more weight than yours because they actually have the required experience and knowledge.
Christians remotely telling others the state of their faith is what makes Christianity unattractive to outsiders, it is what drives people away from Christianity. The unloving arrogance of this attitude does immense harm to Christianity and reduces any positive affect the religion might have. Do you wish to be an ambassador for Christ? Do you wish to extend the love of god to others? Then stop with your judgements, because the way you have behaved in this thread and the way you have spoken about others is one of the things that turns people away from your religion. How will god judge you for that?

My judgment is not based on what I think. It is based on the Scripture verse that I have been posting when writing to you but you are unwilling to tackle what the bible says so, what do you do, you say that I’m judgmental. Plus, Christianity is not a religion, it is having a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. The way you talk about Christianity shows me that you know very little because you never had the Holy Spirit living inside of you. If you had the Spirit of God inside your heart, you wouldn’t have apostatized.
I want you to do me the favor and tackle this verse please.

They went out from us, but they did not belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But their departure made it clear that none of them belonged to us.
