12 The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,
He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those who are planted in the house of the Lord
Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They shall still bear fruit in old age;
They shall be fresh and flourishing,
15 To declare that the Lord is upright;
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
Depending on the soil you are planted on will determine the fruit produced. The roots of the plant will grow downward to ingest the nutrients found on the ground that it’s planted on. If a person has been taught false doctrine through liberal Christianity, Jehovah’s Witnesses or Mormonism etc. then the fruit produced will be poisonous and deadly because it deviates from sound doctrine.
Every professing Christian should be planted on the same soil of sound teachings found in God’s Word. Any teachings that you intake and believe which contradict God’s written Word means that you have been planted on foreign soil and are absorbing deadly poison into your mind and heart which is killing you.
The good news is that the Holy Spirit wants to uproot you from foreign soil and transplant you in God’s Word. Let’s make sure that we are truly planted in scripture to produce fruit that will bring glory, honor, and praises to Jesus Christ.
