The Danger Of Unrighteous Anger

anger

Anger makes your blood pressure rise, impatient and clouds your judgment in making the right decision. It can cause you to hurt or in an extreme case kill someone without thinking of the consequences. However, there is a distinction between ungodly anger and righteous anger that is directed at sin and injustice which would convict you to do the right thing lawfully by prayer and fasting.

Being angry for long periods of time induces depression which can make a person’s life halt, damage the family and relationships with friends and can even cause a person to take his/her life. Anger opens the door to the devil to wreak havoc and to destroy your life physically and spiritually. The angrier you get without controlling it, the more dangerous your life gets. Before a flood of destruction comes in, close the door of anger by seeking the Lord’s strength and committing your life to Him.

26 Be angry and do not sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and don’t give the Devil an opportunity.
