Anxiety

Anxiety-words1

Anxiety attacks your body’s health in weakening your immune system, being susceptible to viral infections. In the spiritual world it attacks your faith in Jesus by redirecting your focus away from the promises found in Scripture regarding deliverance. Satan’s dart of anxiety will poison your faith little by little which will start to die. Anxiety takes away from you any desire to do God’s will and eventually abandonment of the faith in the Lord will take place. Anxiety starves your faith from being put into practice, it starts to weaken and gets very fragile, in doing so any small attack from the enemy will destroy you.

God will not use you if you are consistently worrying, for it shows a lack of faith and trust in your part. Without faith no one can please God and anxiety is one of the strongest dart that the devil has to put you in a state of uselessness so that you cannot please God. To combat anxiety as Christians it is done by prayer, petitions and thanksgiving letting God know your situation that He may help you out of it.

Philippians 4:6-7

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 12:25

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a good word cheers it up.

Psalms 55:22

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken

  1. Great post SpaniardVIII. I liked when you said, “Anxiety takes away from you any desire to do God’s will and eventually abandonment of the faith in the Lord will take place. ”

Sometimes, I have felt anxious and it has stopped me from doing the best that I can. Now, I am able to allow God to take my anxiousness and turn it into an opportunity to please Him.
