A Soul That cries Out To God

Speaking to the Lord

May our hearts yearn for Jesus Christ

Speak to me O Lord for my soul longs for your Word. Stand by me Lord so that I may feel your protection. Direct my walk towards You O Lord, to know that I’m doing your will. Strengthen my faith so no matter what hits it, it will not be moved. Honor Your Name through my life so all can come to You for salvation. O how wonderful and awesome are Your ways O Lord who can compare to You? You rescued me from destruction and gave me eternal life, how can I glorify You today? How can men praise idols that are nothing and thrust you behind their backs? As for me O Lord I destroyed those worthless idols that are not gods because You alone saved me and delivered me from death. I praise You today Holy Father, for Your love and salvation, may all people be as I am, a servant, a slave, and a follower of the King of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus Christ.

Psalm 95:1-7

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord;
let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;
let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
3 For the Lord is a great God,
and a great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth;
the heights of the mountains are his also.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.
6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
7 For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture,
and the sheep of his hand.
Today, if you hear his voice

  1. This is a very interesting post, SpaniardVIII. What inspired you to write it? In the post, I liked the part in the Psalm which said, “… Direct my walk towards You O Lord, to know that I’m doing your will. Strengthen my faith so no matter what hits it, it will not be moved”

    That is exactly what we should be asking of God to do. We as Christians should be asking God to direct our steps that fulfill His will in our lives and not our own. We should also be praying continually that we can discern His voice amongst the others and Satan’s lies. Our faith should grow so strong that nothing human or supernatural can shake our faith; just like Job.

  2. Hello Joshua, It’s always good to read your comments. I liked your comment:

    I wrote the post because I started to say those words in my mind so I put them in a post. What I wrote wasn’t taken from Psalms but those were my own words. By you saying or thinking that they were from Psalms just tells me that God’s Word is truly in my heart. As I was writing it, it did sound like the Psalms but I did not look at any passage in Psalms as to write it so it was cool to see what you said Joshua. I always get blessed by your comments.

  3. Thank you lynnabbottstudios for that wonderful comment. That is awesome to know that you prayed it to God and that it blessed you. I pray that we all as followers of Jesus Christ may continue to grow more in love with Him for what He has done for us. And I pray that you lynnabbottstudios may be used by the Lord to bring people to His kingdom.
