Quarantine
a: a term during which a ship arriving in port and suspected of carrying contagious disease is held in isolation from the shore–Merriam Webster
Christians are like ships which bring cargo for the survival of men. The cargo is the gospel of Jesus Christ that will give them eternal life. For Satan and his fallen angels (demons), this cargo is likened to a disease that will hinder their work in killing people’s souls.
One of the ways to stop Christians from spreading the gospel of salvation is to quarantine us and put us in a cage like or locked room so we won’t be out there in the world preaching about the cross.
That is what is happening today. Many Christians are quarantined and ineffective making the demons’ job that much better and easier.
I would like to reveal some of Satan’s quarantine to encourage you to fight the good fight of the faith once delivered to us and by faith in Jesus’ strength through prayer, not allowing the enemy of our souls to quarantine us because if that happens, God’s work in our lives will stop.
2 Peter 1:8
For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Quarantine# 1
Satan wants to convince you that there is only one translation of the Bible that is inspired and the rest are erroneous. If Satan can’t stop you from reading the Bible, he will convince you to read the hardest one to keep you from truly grasping the full meaning of the text. He will say that it doesn’t matter if you can’t understand the English words, God will still use you. No, my friends, God’s purpose is to get you His Word in your language for your understanding so that you may do what it says. As Americans, we are blessed with various Bible translations that cover any reading level so no one is without excuse for not reading His Word.
Quarantine# 2
Satan will tell you that churches today are corrupted and are there for bigger attendance for more revenue. He continues to tell you that they teach false doctrines to tickle your ears. Satan will use God’s Word against you. His purpose is to keep you from hearing from God at church which will strengthen your faith. He wants to isolate you from other believers so you won’t be able to minister to them or be ministered to.
Quarantine# 3
Satan will criticize your abilities either in speech, reading, writing, preaching and any other type of skills. He does this to stop you from preaching and reading the Bible to ultimately keep you from telling people about Jesus. He will make you self-conscious.
Quarantine# 4
Once he has quarantined you from reading Scripture, the quarantine worsens. You will start to believe unbiblical teachings. You will believe that you can read people’s thoughts or know things about them that they have not disclosed to you, things like that or similar to it. Satan will start to move your thoughts to his camp which is witchcraft. Now you think that it is from God but the reality is that it is demonic.
When you find yourself suspending something that you are doing for the Lord, stop everything and think, “am I under quarantine?”
