Verse of the Day Q&A: What Does The Bible Mean To You?

Psalms 50:16

But God says to the wicked: “What right do you have to recite My statutes and to take My covenant on your lips?

Bible

Those who use God’s Word with the intent of not seeking Him who is found on the pages, He greatly detests. Why? Because their intention is to discredit God’s righteousness so that they won’t feel guilty by extinguishing their conscience for their sinful choices that they have incorporated into their lives. When a person picks up a Bible to fabricate lies about it, God will add that sin into their account.

  1. When you pick up your Bible, what are your true intentions for opening it up?
  2. Do you believe everything written in it or do you have a preconceived notion?

  1. Both your answers show that the Holy Spirit dwells in your heart. A person who loves God’s Word reveals that their love for Jesus is genuine. Great answers and thanks for taking the time to write it down.

  2. This is a great and informative blog post, SpaniardVIII. I like the post when you said, “When a person picks up a Bible to fabricate lies about it, God will add that sin into their account.” because it raises a lot of question regarding atheist and how they love to discredit the Bible and even who Jesus Christ is.

1). Every time I open Bible, my intention is always to gain something from the Scriptures I’m reading; like right now, I’m doing a study of the Book of Galatians and how it relates to us as Christians today and how we can apply the message of the Book in our own lives. This is actually what I talk about in my latest blog post.

2). Although I may skim through different parts of the Bible and even Scriptures that I have read before and thought I understood; I always gain a better and even different understanding of the Scripture I’m reading.
