Jude 1:12-Teachers Who Are Like Dangerous Reefs

jude

12 These are hidden rocky reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you, shepherds who without fear feed themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn leaves without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots

“These are hidden rocky reefs in your love feasts” Coral reefs can be very beautiful to behold and alluring to go look at, but the reefs can have very sharp edges and can cut a person if they brush against it by mistake. Also, lurking in the coral reefs are very deadly creatures like the blue-ringed octopus whose venom can kill any human with no antivenom known to be available.

That is how dangerous a false prophet can be to your spiritual life. They can seem very attractive with their speech and even their appearances, but what comes out of their mouths [teachings] is full-blown venom. His teaching is so convincing that to bring you back to the truth will be very difficult.

“when they feast with you, shepherds who without fear feed themselves” These false teachers pretend to be a caring friend just to get something out of you. They only care how you can bless them with what you have instead of them being a blessing to you.

“clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn leaves without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots” Since they do not have the Holy Spirit, you think that they will bless you with godly wisdom, however, it will be worldly wisdom which is detestable to the Lord. Their venom that spews out of their mouths promises that if you live by their interpretation, God will have to bless you. In reality, that type of doctrine will start to corrode your faith if you put it into practice.

The last part of the verse describes false teachers as being “twice dead” which shows that their consciences are seared. When you come across a person like that, their door to the truth has been permanently closed. If meeting a person this deadly is unavoidable, we must approach him with extreme caution.

We must take a false teacher very seriously. The potential for damaging our faith is very great so, we have to constantly be ready by reading Scripture, praying, and applying God’s Word to our daily life.

Biblical Q&A: Should Christians Today Still Use Holy Water?

qa

[Anonymous asks] Should Christians of today still use holy water after Christ died for us?

Thank you for your question

Answer:

Holy water under the old covenant was meant for a husband’s jealousy. If he suspected of his wife’s unfaithfulness and became jealous and had reasons not to trust her, he would take her to the priest. The priest would make the holy water which would be bitter putting some of the dust of the floor found in the tabernacle and have the woman drink it from a bowl. If the woman was found guilty by the LORD, her belly would shrivel meaning, she wouldn’t be able to have children [Numbers 5:17-27].

Nowhere in the New Testament does it say to use holy water. That was done under the old covenant. Jesus came to fulfill the requirements of the Law, we are under grace.

What is grace? Grace just means favor, God’s favor on you. He did something for you that you didn’t deserve, mainly, keeping the law on your behalf. Through His death on the cross and resurrection, by placing one’s faith in Jesus, His righteousness gets credited to our account. God looks on those who put their trust in Him as if they have kept the whole law.

The Catholic Church still uses holy water to this day for cleansing and for battling the demonic forces of evil. The way they use it has nothing to do with the Biblical meaning of its use and its purpose.

But the truth is that the only thing for cleansing a person’s life is the Word of God which is also used to battle against the devil’s tactics and schemes [Ephesians 6:10-18-The Full Armor of God].

Many false churches who claim to be Christians will always contradict God’s Word and make you do things contrary to what is written in Scripture. We must be students of His Word to be protected from deception.

(Part 8) The True Darkness Of Atheism

dark-heart
This is your heart on atheism, any questions? Believe in God

I had a discussion [under the comment section] with KeepTheFire who claims to be an atheist and below in his comment, the truth comes out in what truly is in their hearts.

Look, their so-called no evidence for God cry is so outlandish that in reality, they don’t reject God for no evidence [for there is an abundance of it], but their rejection of God is based solely on emotions. They cannot comprehend how God can bring judgment on any nation.

The reason an atheist cannot understand what righteous judgment is, because they reject what sin stands for. For them, sin is a way of life which they love to wallow in like a swine to mud. The world which comprises of people like atheists [haters of God] and those who want nothing to do with Jesus or the real Jesus have a deep hatred for God’s punishment on sin because that is why they live for. The heart of the world is pure darkness and devoid of anything good that pleases God.

[KeepTheFire: an atheist said

“Blah blah…
I don’t reject God. Because he doesn’t appear to exist.
But I can tell you that if you could prove to me that he does exist, then I WOULD reject God. Right to his face.
The God of the Bible is an immoral monster, and deserves to be rebuked for all of the atrocities carried out in his name.”

When an atheist enters a Christian’s blog to debate him or her for the existence of God, it is not to see if the Christian can provide them with the evidence they pretend to seek. The reason they go to a Christian’s blog is to try to subvert their faith in the Living God. Why? Unknown to them, Satan their god whom they don’t believe in is using them and in their ugliness, seen when they attack God, is a manifestation of the devil reigning in their soul. That is their only purpose in life, to do the devil’s desire.

If they truly didn’t believe in God’s existence, why then go through all the trouble to debunk Jesus? The answer is obvious. To stifle their conscience of the reality of God’s punishment for their sins. They want to feel good about their sinful lifestyle. They love money, being self-centered, practice homosexuality, lie, steal, hate, use profanities, and satisfy the lust of the flesh.

Anything righteous and good, they detest. That is the reason why they cannot stand God because He is the standard of righteousness and goodness.

This is what Scripture says about the atheists

John 3:19-21 [Emphasis Added]

19 “This, then, is the judgment: The light [Jesus who is the truth] has come into the world, and people [like the atheists] loved darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who practices wicked things [through the lust of the flesh] hates the light and avoids it, so that his deeds may not be exposed [to hide their true intentions]. 21 But anyone who lives by the truth [those who believe in Jesus Christ and hold on to God’s Word] comes to the light, so that his works may be shown to be accomplished by God.”

Despite their actions and hatred, Jesus loves them and wants them to repent and put their faith in Him.
