so that we ourselves boast about you in the assemblies of God for your perseverance and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure. (WEB)
Paul was telling the other churches how the church in Thessalonica’s walk with the Lord was shining. Let’s look closely at some of the keywords mentioned here and why Paul was boasting.

- Perseverance-The word means not to quit the task set before them, even if you are tired mentally or physically. It also shows a deep conviction with a mental focus to finish what they have started.
- Faith-It doesn’t just mean to believe but, to have trust. Trust means to live your life according to what you have been convinced of without deviating from it.
The believers in Thessalonica were going through persecutions and afflictions which revealed the genuineness of their faith by not giving up or abandoning Christ, they held on to Him even tighter.
