11 To this end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and work of faith, with power;
“To this end we also pray always for you” Believers praying for believers was a practice of the early church. It showed love and concern for the warfare of their spiritual growth for those in Christ Jesus.
“that our God may count you worthy of your calling” Being worthy is attained through faith in Jesus Christ. In Luke 20:35-26…The word worthy refers to having eternal life and being with the Father in heaven. In other words, being worthy means to be saved.
The desire that the Lord fulfills in a believer’s life is that which leads to righteousness by faith in Him so that His power may be displayed.
Thanks again for a wonderful reminder of who God is and why we are here! Continued praise to Him that abounds us with His Grace! Thanks.
