When Does The Devil Attack You?

John 12:9-11

9 Now a great many of the Jews knew that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead. 10 But the chief priests plotted to put Lazarus to death also, 11 because on account of him many of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus.

The Jewish leaders wanted to kill Lazarus because through what Jesus did in his life it gave him a testimony that was bringing people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Satan will try to destroy you when it is evident that the Holy Spirit is using you. Every time you share God’s Word and tell them your testimony, remember, you will be attacked. It is vital to always be in the Word of God and in prayer so that your faith can be at its optimal.

Revelation 12:10-11

10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

To defeat the devil is by first placing our faith and trust in Jesus’ sacrifice.

When a person accepts the gift of Jesus Christ that He died on the cross to pay their debt of sins and after three days He rose from the grave, Jesus will give them His Holy Spirit who will dwell in them and give them eternal life. Their sins were sending them to hell but with faith in Jesus, their sins have been paid for and now they can go to heaven.

Second, our testimony of God working in us in spreading the gospel to others.

A Christian who is actively doing God’s will is a defeat to the kingdom of darkness.

God spoke to me when in my devotional reading I got to John 12. I wanted to share it with all of you.  -SpaniardVIII
