2 Thessalonians 3:6- Being Idle Will Keep You From Doing God’s Will

2 Thess

6 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. NIV

“In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you” Paul invokes the authority given to him by the Lord Jesus Christ.

“keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive” Genuine believers can become a stumbling block to other believers if they are not busy doing God’s will.

“does not live according to the teaching you received from us” Their idleness reflected a lack of being in God’s Word and doing what it says.
