The Danger Of Bringing An Idol Into Your Home

The Scriptures are very clear in what is behind every religious idol. In 1 Corinthians 10, it speaks about demons attaching themselves to these idols for the sole purpose to be invited into people’s homes to cause havoc.

14 Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry… 19 What am I saying then? That food offered to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? 20 No, but I do say that what they sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God. I do not want you to participate with demons! 21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot share in the Lord’s table and the table of demons.

Does Colossians 1:15 Teach That Jesus Was Created?

undefined

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

-Colossians 1:15 HCSB

In the next verse, it shows Jesus as the Creator of the universe.

16 For everything was created by Him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities— all things have been created through Him and for Him.

-Colossians 1:16 HCSB

In Isaiah 44:24, it says, “This is what the LORD, your Redeemer who formed you from the womb, says:

I am Yahweh, who made everything; who stretched out the heavens by Myself; who alone spread out the earth”

The LORD alone created the universe without any help as also seen in Genesis 1:1. Jesus in John 1:1 is revealed as God, and in John 1:3, He is the Creator. For Jesus to be the Creator, He has to be God as God alone created the universe.

The word “firstborn” in Colossians 1:15 is not used in a literal term as in being born or created, but it is used as having preeminence which that is the other meaning of the word. The meaning of the word is found in its context, see below.

18 He is also the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He might come to have first place in everything.

-Colossians 1:18 HCSB

So, in verse 15, it does not show Jesus as a created being, but that He has preeminence of all things for who He is, the Creator of the seen and unseen world, and the first to resurrect from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:20) with a spiritual body which all the saints will have after their bodily resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:50-56).

Satan Is Like A Roaring Lion

undefined

8 Be serious! Be alert! Your adversary the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.

-1 Peter 5:8 HCSB

How dangerous is the devil? He is looking for your total destruction, as you can see with the word “devour.”

Keyword: Devour

The word devour in Greek means to drown, swallow whole, and to be destroyed.

Satan’s purpose for Christians is to make them useless for God’s kingdom. He wants to drown your faith with hopelessness and discouragement. If you knew how much of an impact you truly are for Christ Jesus in this world, you wouldn’t be easily discouraged. The world through atheism, satanism, occultism, which all three are the same, are in full steam ahead in its attack against the truth, the Word of God.

Apostates like Bruce Gerencser, John Arthur, and Bart Ehrman, to name a few, have committed themselves to attack the person of the Lord Jesus Christ who they claim is not real and His followers, thus fulfilling God’s Word as found in…

18 “If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of it, the world hates you. 20 Remember the word I spoke to you: ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will also keep yours. 21 But they will do all these things to you on account of My name, because they don’t know the One who sent Me.

-John 15:18-21 HCSB

The Word of God tells us that we must be “serious!” and “alert!” We must be composed and our mind’s free of anything that would take our focus away from God’s Word and in prayer, which is an essential element of being ready so that we won’t be taken by surprise.

Our strength is not found in our body or spirit, but the One who lives within us, the Holy Spirit. We fight the demonic forces in the strength of the Lord by putting on the Full Armor of God.

10 Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil. 12 For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.

-Ephesians 6:10-12 HCSB

Christian, you will always be a target. Anything that you do for God’s glory will always be met with hostility. The devil will send his followers like atheists, liberals, cults, who teach a different Jesus, and with other groups, [activist organizations] who are attacking Christianity. Stay strong because in 1 John 4:4 it says, “You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”

Satan is trying to divide white and black people through liberals who are socialists. For a white and black Christian, race does not exist, for we are much more of a brother than our kindred. We are one in Christ which supersedes race and we must support each other and stay away from BLM and cling to Jesus Christ who died for ALL lives.

Live for Christ, live for God’s Word, live for His will, and support your brothers in Christ Jesus, staying away from the world’s influence which goes against the Lord Jesus Christ.
