There are many false teachers today who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ and are deceiving many genuine believers. The first thing they have to attack, that which they profess to follow, the Word of God. In Genesis 3, Satan defeated Eve by undermining her trust in God’s Word, which keeps her grounded and firm in the LORD.
“Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field that the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden?’ ” -Genesis 3:1, BSB
Satan’s first attack was to question God’s Word in a subtle way to bring about doubt. Once he moves you away from the Scriptures, you will be an easier target for him to destroy. Why would the devil act any different today if he got to deceive two people who had no sins at the time? It worked well with Adam and Eve, so you know that Satan will continue to attack those whose faith’s foundation is not upon the Rock, which is the Word of God [Matthew 7:24-27]. I will show you a false teacher whose name is Andy Stanley, who is not from God but has been planted by the devil to make you doubt God’s Word. See below.
Andy Stanley, who said, “the foundation of our faith is not the Scriptures,” clearly he does not know the Scriptures. His statement is the most outlandish thing that I have ever heard, especially coming from a pastor who is supposed to know the Bible. The Scriptures, without a shadow of a doubt, says contrary to what Stanley believes. Read below.
“Consequently, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.” -Romans 10:17, BSB
According to Romans 10:17, the foundation of a Christian’s faith is the Scriptures, yet these false teachers can blatantly teach the opposite. It puzzles me greatly.
I would also like to point out another false teacher who resides in Portland, Oregon. This false teacher attacks the person of Jesus Christ and makes Him not even know that He is the Son of God. This false Christian is John Mark Comer. In his book called: “The Ruthless Elimination Of Hurry.” On page 126, Mr. Comer said, “Notice, Jesus came out of the wilderness with all sorts of clarity about his identity and calling. He was grounded. Centered. In touch with God and himself. From that place of emotional equilibrium and spiritual succor, he knew precisely what to say yes to and, just as importantly, what to say no to.”
First of all, Jesus is God. To make it simple. Jesus’ humanity is God’s garment. It is like God was leaving His house [in heaven] and puts on His clothes, Jesus’ flesh, to visit us and accomplish His purpose [His death and resurrection].
“For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form.” -Colossians 2:9, BSB
John Mark Comer is saying that Jesus only knew who He was after coming out of the wilderness. Mr. Comer is claiming that Jesus did not only have any clue who He was, but He didn’t even know what was His purpose here on earth until His journey in the wilderness. This mindset alone reveals that John Mark Comer is not getting his understanding of the Scriptures from the Holy Spirit but he is getting it by demonic spirits.
The Scripture reveals that Jesus already knew at a young age that He is the Son of the Living God, as found in Luke Chapter 2, which says…
“42 And when He was twelve years old, they went up according to the custom of the Feast.”
49 “Why were you looking for Me?” He asked. “Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?” 50 But they did not understand the statement He was making to them.” -Luke 2:49-50, BSB
The 12 year old Jesus, knew that He was the Son of God, making Himself God [John 5:16-18].
The church I go to is promoting this garbage of a book. I can’t see it any other way, but for what it is. I am deeply offended that the youth leadership and even maybe the pastor is okay with giving garbage to their congregation to eat [spiritually speaking]. How in the world can leaders in a church, who are supposed to be the ones to protect God’s people, be the ones killing them? To those who is given much [responsibilities], more will be demanded of.
This is a very disturbing post brother, but it is no surprise to see satan deceiving churches so easily. There are so many false teachers out there, it would not surprise me if they out number Bible believing leaders in many countries. These certainly are close to the end times. God bless you brother.

Thanks for your comment, Alan. Not many who say, “Lord Lord” belongs to Jesus Christ. That is why we must learn the Bible very well so that we may not get caught up in the wind of falsehood.
