God’s Creation Was Perfect Until Sin Entered It

The Serpent, who is the devil and Satan, deceived Eve and Adam, who knew better, ate from the forbidden fruit. Death entered their soul, and separation occurred between God and them. Life left them, and darkness filled the void. They knew they were naked revealing sin in their minds.

Many sinful thoughts for the first time permeated their minds and caused them to die spiritually, and in a gradual state, physically.

The good news is that Jesus Christ brought life to those who accept Him as Lord and Savior. Jesus paid in full on the cross, our doubt of sin. All we need to do and ask Jesus to forgive us and save us from our sins.

Persistent Prayer Reveals Your Faith

1 Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray at all times and not lose heart…8 I tell you, He will promptly carry out justice on their behalf. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”

-Luke 18:1, 8, BSB

Prayer is an essential element in the process of a believer’s growth in the Lord. In verse 8, prayer reflects one’s faith or the strength of it. Jesus connects prayer to the level of your trust in Him when you read the context that’s between verses 1 and 8.

Jesus talks about a widow who went to an unjust judge for justice who didn’t care about God or people, but because the widow kept coming to him, he saw that she was going to wear him out. He decides to give her the justice that she sought. Jesus then said, won’t God answer His children’s prayer even quicker? Jesus finished by comparing consistent prayer to strong faith.

Jesus only answers a prayer that is consistent because it exercises the person’s faith towards the Lord. In Hebrews 11:6, it says, “6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” As you can see that faith in Jesus Christ is what pleases Him, and without it, you cannot not. A prayer that does not give up displays a faith that is firm and immovable.

Doubt is prayer’s cancer. It eats it up by causing the person to cease from hoping in an answered prayer from the Lord. After the person stops, bitterness develops, and its roots go down deep into the person’s soul and takes hold until it destroys that person’s faith.

Remember, the target will always be your faith because faith is what pleases God and strengthens you. Without faith in Jesus, there will be no life of prayer, hope, and worse, no salvation. How do you think that a person who at one time was a Christian turned around and became an atheist? Once you destroy the little bit of faith they had in Christ, it severs their connection to Him. They have no choice but to abandon Jesus because what keeps you clued to Jesus Christ is trust in Him.

If Jesus is not answering your prayer, do you give up, or have you made up your mind to be persistent until He answers you?

What type of faith do you have?

Do Not Support False Teachers

8 Watch yourselves, so that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be fully rewarded.

9 Anyone who runs ahead without remaining in the teaching of Christ does not have God. Whoever remains in His teaching has both the Father and the Son.

10 If anyone comes to you but does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your home or even greet him.

11 Whoever greets such a person shares in his evil deeds.” -2 John 1:8-11, BSB

In verse 8, the Scriptures give a stark warning not to lose the good work that you did for the Lord Jesus Christ.

In verse 9, it says that if a person is claiming to follow Jesus Christ and has adopted a different view from what the Scripture clearly states reveals the person to be a false Christian without the Holy Spirit living inside of him. The one who believes in what the Bible teaches about who Jesus is, salvation, and everything else, God dwells in their hearts.

In verse 10, when a traveler would come, according to the culture, the owner of the house would take care of the weary traveler by providing him with a place to sleep and food so that he may continue on his journey the next day. What the passage is saying that if a “Christian” gets introduce into your life by way of Social Media but believes in unorthodox doctrines [not sound doctrine]. Do not support their blogs in any way.

Remember, false Christians will have some truth, which will contain lies not being consistent with sound teachings. For example, they will teach something truthful like to believe in Jesus for salvation, but at the same time teach that Jesus is another god, thus introducing heretical teachings that are damning. I want to be clear and make a difference between a baby Christian that doesn’t know too much from a false teacher who is deceived and continues to deceive others. An immature Christian will take correction with Scripture, but a false one will not. They will teach something that will go against what the Scripture makes clear about the person of Jesus and His promises found in His Word.

Verse 11 warns that any support that you give to a false teacher, you will end up promoting false doctrine and partake in his evil deeds. You will become that which you proclaim to despise.
