A Spiritual Battle For The Control Of Our Nation

12 Then he said to me, “Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was standing in my way for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia…20 Then he said, “Do you understand why I came to you? But I shall now return to fight against the prince of Persia; so I am leaving, and behold, the prince of Greece is about to come.

-Daniel 10:12-13, 20, NASB 2020

In verse 12, it shows that God will answer your prayers. Sometimes, the delay of an answered prayer, as seen in this verse comes from demonic forces who will go at length to fight against you hearing from God. As long as we come before the throne of God with a humble spirit, He will answer us.

The phrase “the prince of the kingdom of Persia” refers to spiritual forces of darkness that have gotten control over some nations through leaders who are given into the occult, idolatry, socialism/communism, or liberalism, which their ideology is anti-Scripture and goes against the fabric of God’s standard. They all exalt man. Once you have those types of leaders leading a nation, Satan can easily direct that nation to go against Christians by taking away their rights, Israel, by not supporting them against their enemies, and taking God out of all government institutions and public places.

The kingdoms of Persia and Greece were being run by demonic forces.

Our nation is experiencing a spiritual battle for control. Satan and his fallen angels are fighting against the angels of God. Now, when a country is taken over by Satan, we must remember, God is still on His throne. Even though evil leaders are running it, in the end, God’s will, will be done.

We know that things will get worse before Jesus comes back to get His church, as stated in 2 Timothy 3:1-5. We must be prepared to fight, not against people, but against the principalities of the dark spiritual forces of evil.
