To The Concerned Folks

This post is for those who had a genuine concern for me, thinking that I was becoming prideful in my comments while defending the truth of God’s Word. I appreciate that concern and will try to answer why I stand on certain issues.

When defending God’s Word, sometimes it might come out harsh, which isn’t my intent, and I will work on being as gracious as possible without compromising God’s truth. Even Jesus offended the religious leaders of His time.

12 Then the disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this statement?” 13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted. 14 Leave them alone; they are blind guides of blind people. And if a person who is blind guides another who is blind, both will fall into a pit.”

-Matthew 15:12-14, NASB 2020

The truth hurts when the person doesn’t want to submit to it. No one likes to be corrected or disciplined. That’s human nature. But if the one correcting you is unbiblical with what he is bringing forth, then you must swing the pendulum back to him. Meaning, you must assert your position if indeed it is biblical. The Scripture is our foundation. It is where we get the truth, and our lives MUST be constructed on it.

One of the concerns was in reference to this comment of mine: “All Democrats, are in support of murdering babies and for homosexuality. They pretend to care for Spanish and black people. All they want is our vote. There is zero good in a Democrat. They are godless and if they claim to believe in God, then they are deceiving themselves because they support unbiblical practices.”

If you are a Christian, knowing full well that your support will endanger the lives of innocent babies, would you think that the other policies can somehow trump the murdering of the unborn? Even if the Democrats just supported that policy and nothing else, that alone should disqualify that party from receiving the support of a Christian who is spirit-filled. Friend, murder is murder. You can paint it whichever way you want, but the result will be the same.

We as Christians are not here to help kill people, but to give them the message of salvation. How can that child grow up to do the will of God if it is killed?

Some Christians vote Democrat because they have passed laws that helps them of certain benefits they need. Let’s put it into perspective.

I don’t want to sound mean or insensitive to those who need help. By choosing to vote for a party that is pro-abortion since it will benefit you in continuing your coverage, you are thus choosing self-preservation over someone else’s life. What type of faith is that? That mentality will force you to make a decision that will harm others instead of trusting Christ for the things that you need (Matthew 6:33). As long as you got your food on the table and your healthcare coverage, who cares if millions of babies die?

Seeing it in that perspective, how does it make you feel?

I cannot fathom how a Christian who reads the Bible and knows what God feels about babies who were sacrificed to Molech, as mentioned in Scripture, can still be okay with supporting laws that approve of such practices like it.

I won’t go into the other issue of homosexuality since its wickedness is obvious, but I will address why I support the president. First of all, President Trump is not a Christian. The office of the Presidency is not predicated on personality but on being capable of doing the job. One of the requirements for a Christian to choose a candidate is if his morals align more to a Biblical view. That is how I vote. I am not voting for a Christian leader, but for the best person for the job who is for religious freedom, protects the people, born and the unborn, and supports Israel.

What does the Bible say about politics?

Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.

-Romans 13:1, NASB 2020

God is the one who instituted governments for the protection of the people from invaders and wickedness.

2 Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. 3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same

-Romans 13:2-3, NASB 2020

13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, 14 or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. 15 For such is the will of God, that by doing right you silence the ignorance of foolish people.

-1 Peter 2:13-15, NASB 2020

Pray To The Lord For The Welfare Of Your Nation

Seek the prosperity of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD in its behalf; for in its prosperity will be your prosperity.

-Jeremiah 29:7, NASB 2020

How do you seek the prosperity for the nation you live in? The answer is found in Proverbs 29, see below.

2 When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, But when a wicked person rules, people groan. 4 The king gives stability to the land by justice, But a person who takes bribes ruins it.

-Proverbs 29:2, 4, NASB 2020

The phrase “righteous increase” refers to the laws that govern a nation, to see the welfare of people’s lives, protecting its people from invaders outside, the wicked from the inside, and to help increase one’s prosperity. A nation that’s corrupted destroys everyone living in it. My mother left a socialist country, Cuba that oppresses its people by taking away their freedom. To see America headed in the same direction with the Democrat/socialist party is very concerning.

Look what happened to the Jews in Germany when no one opposed an evil leader. As Christians, we must see the welfare of America to advance the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because our time is short, and it will get worse before the rapture.

I will never compromise the Word of God; I judge all things according to it. If you have any other concerns, feel free to leave me a comment and I will answer with Scripture and with grace.

May we continue to grow into the image of Christ. Fight for the gospel against false doctrine, exposing them. Contend for righteousness and warn others of Satan’s trap. Read the Scriptures every day with prayer, interceding for leaders, family, and friends. God bless.

P.S. I thought I was done with political posts, but someone contacted me again through a comment engaging me with the same issues. What you see here is my personal conviction and it isn’t going to change.

  1. I am an African American woman, and I would like to Thank You for clarifying your stance.

I don’t have a WP site, but I’ve been reading your posts for about a year. You, Marques Jeffries, Caeli, and a man named Gordon King are three of the most solid Bloggers I know of.

I will admit that, back in June, when I first read your comments about “All Democrats”, I’d just lost my aunt to the COVID, so my human feelings rose up and I wanted to fuss you out. My aunt took me to church and Bible Study almost every week when I was growing up and she was the one who led me to Christ. The thought of you insinuating that my aunt had gone to Hell…just because she voted for Democrats, really made me angry. Over the last week, I have asked God to forgive me for some of the feelings that I’ve felt towards you and other Conservative Christians who voted for Trump.

I do now respect your personal convictions. While I hate the direction that the Democrats are taking things, my convictions just wouldn’t allow me to vote for Trump. I hope the Republican Party can come up with a suitable candidate in 2024. If so, SpaniardVIII, I’d certainly be willing to vote Republican.

I pray nothing but God’s blessings and continued favor over your life and ministry.

  2. Hello DaMonika Sharpe

Thank you so much for your wonderful words of encouragement. It was very touching. I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ may continue to bless you by strengthening your faith in Him.

I love my brothers and sisters in Christ, and my desire is to be used by the Holy Spirit to help Christians as yourself and others to continue in the faith through posts of encouragement.

I appreciate you telling me about your aunt, and I’m sorry to hear about what happened and also in making you feel bad. The good news is that by your aunt placing her faith in Christ, be assured that she is in heaven. I have no doubts about that. May the Lord bring you and your family comfort.

My hope is not in Trump, but I do see that with his policies, we Christians still have the freedom to spread the gospel. I know things will get worse, so we need as much time as possible to tell people about Jesus before the rapture comes. I’m a Pre-Trib believer.

Please, feel free to comment more often on my blog as well as Cael and Marques. I say this because it encourages us, knowing that our posts are helping others. You have truly blessed me today.

I’m finishing a post called: Satan Has Asked God To Sift You As Wheat.

Satan will stop at nothing to “try” to destroy us, but the Lord will strengthen us to endure his attacks.

I understand why you were mad at me, and I don’t hold any animosity toward you. I’m glad that you told me how you felt. It helps me a lot to be careful about how I present things. Even my wife tells me that at times I can come out a little harsh. I will do my best, with God’s help, to be more gracious.
