Luke 1:31-33– 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; 33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.
What does “the Son of the Most High” mean? It means that He is the Word of God.
John 1:1– In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
.John 1:14– And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Jesus, the Son of God is the Word who was with God before everything came into being and is God. He came into the world as the promised Messiah to save humanity from their sins.
God’s plan for redeeming mankind from eternal damnation was to send His Son, in the form of a man, so that He could physically die for our sins since He is eternal and cannot die in His preincarnate state.
5 Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, “You have not desired sacrifice and offering, But You have prepared a body for Me; 6 You have not taken pleasure in whole burnt offerings and offerings for sin. -Hebrews 10:5-6
John 14:6– Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.
Acts 4:10, 12– 10 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by this name this man stands here before you in good health…12 And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.”
Why is Jesus the only Savior? See below.
Isaiah 43:11– I, only I, am the LORD, And there is no savior besides Me.
Only God is the Savior of the world, apart from Him no one can save mankind from their sins (Isaiah 43:25– I, I alone, am the one who wipes out your wrongdoings for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.). The name of Jesus means Savior and. Jesus in Hebrew is Yeshua. In the Old Testament, God is called Jesus.
Isaiah 12:2– Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD God is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.
The Hebrew word for “salvation” is Yeshuah. Strong’s# 3444. Let’s read the passage again with the word Yeshuah in place of its English counterpart.
Isaiah 12:2– Behold, God is my Yeshuah, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD God is my strength and song, And He has become my Yeshuah.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God is truly the Savior of the world. Are you seeking healing and restoration with the Living God? Jesus is the only answer and the one who will make you right in God’s eyes. Through faith in Jesus Christ, you will have all of your sins forgiven.
