A testimony is life changing. It takes you from one path to another and it even changes the way you think. When a person puts his faith in Christ, something supernatural happens to his life. The Spirit of God enters him and renews his mind to that of Christ—changing the way he lives and acts.
The testimony of Lazarus was so powerful that when it was spread, many people wanted to see him to witness what Jesus did—bringing back a man that was dead for four days (John 11:17-44).
All of us who are believers in Jesus Christ have a testimony for the purpose to bring people to Jesus for their salvation. We are living witnesses that God’s Word is the truth and Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). When preaching to people the good news of Jesus Christ, always share what Jesus did in your life so that they can see God’s Word come alive through your testimony.
12 Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has actually resulted in the advance of the gospel, 13 so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard, and to everyone else, that my imprisonment is in the cause of Christ. -Philippians 1:12-13
Paul’s imprisonment became his testimony that he would rather be there than deny the Lord Jesus Christ. His testimony showed to others that the gospel really changed him. He was even willing to die for Jesus.
