You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God is opposed to the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.

Humility
How do you put on humility? The text illustrates it like putting on clothing. The idea is that when you put on a particular shirt, everyone that sees you will notice the type of shirt you are wearing. The same thing is with humility. When you are in public, around people, they must see your humility. Your attitude must display it. In all circumstances, it must be the first thing that comes out of you.
What is humility? One who submits to God’s Word, is slow to anger, will not retaliate, shows gentleness, and will sacrifice himself for the cause of Christ.
God’s favor will fall upon such a person.
Pride
Being prideful is the complete opposite of being humble. Pride doesn’t allow you to listen and submit to God’s Word and will make you hardhearted toward your neighbor. One’s temper is known at once and might put others in harm’s way. That type of person, God will humble. It won’t be fun when the Lord humbles you. The Lord will humble you through humiliation, which will penetrate your heart to cause you to repent.
Spiritual Minefield 
May we pursue humility and you are right that is probably the first thing people wonder about us
