What have we learned in 2021? For starters, 2021 was a year that revealed how close the return of Jesus Christ truly is and how rapid the curtain is swinging to close on the time of grace we are living into the new one that is fast approaching. We are seeing the beginning stages of the development of the future mark of the beast, seen in the mandate of the “poke,” which without it, you can’t go to certain places for purchase purposes and even have a job to make money.
Scientists in the United States, and maybe in other countries, seem to be aware of a coming asteroid. That is why they are preparing for the moment of impact when they will have to face head-on a gigantic rock of devastating proportion. Sadly, according to Revelation, it will hit the earth and kill many people.
5 And the One seated on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are faithful and true.” -Revelation 21:5 BSB
Even though the world around us is getting worse, we know the outcome. This world is not our home. Jesus is going to make a new home for those who love Him. It will be a perfect world without sin and death. Until we go there, what are we to do in this one?
[Living like Christ] The saints have to be more in God’s Word to transform their minds and learn the ways of the Lord, which will make their light bulb, the inner-man, brighter, reflecting the light of Jesus Christ within them.
[Spreading the gospel] We have to tell others about Jesus and what He did for all of us on the cross. Everyone needs an opportunity to escape two events that are coming. The first is the seven-year Tribulation, and the second is dying in a sinful state without Jesus and ending up in hell, where the worms that eat you will never die and the fire that burns you will never die off.
[Exposing false teachers] How can you and I show the love of Christ to someone who might be in the process of being deceived by a very obvious false teacher or preacher? You warn them by pointing out to them, with the Scriptures, that what they are learning is unbiblical and has the potential of pushing them away from the truth.
[Choosing to love the truth over people] Do you know people who claim to be Christians, yet they teach unbiblical doctrine? Do you stay quiet so that you won’t offend them and lose their likes, visits, and comments? Have you ever asked yourself the question, who do you genuinely love, and why do you do what you do? Do you do it for you or Jesus?
[And lastly, do you love the world and the things that are in them or hate it?] In 1 John 2:15, it says, Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. The world will only offer what the flesh desires since it cannot give you the righteousness that comes from God. This world and its governments are directed and guided by Satan, and he wants to rule over it so that he could be worshipped like God, as seen in 2 Thessalonians 2:4.
When we enter 2022, keep your minds pure, cling to Jesus Christ, seek Him every day, and live for Him because the days are short and our being gathered to Him is very near.
