The Enemy Will Do Whatever It Takes To Keep You From Hearing From The Lord

13 However, the prince of the kingdom of Persia opposed me for twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia. -Daniel 10:13 BSB

Daniel was praying and fasting for three weeks, seeking to hear from the Lord about his people, the Israelites. The moment Daniel decided to humble himself before the Lord and prayed for understanding, God dispatched an angel to give Daniel the revelation concerning his request.

When the angel from the Lord was on his way to speak to Daniel, he was confronted by demonic princes in the spiritual realm. These were the demons who were controlling with manipulation, the kingdom of Persia, with its king, and his nobles.

Today, there are spiritual forces of darkness actively fighting for control over nations and governments to use those nations to push Satan’s agenda and to stop the spreading of the gospel.

Getting back to Daniel, the dark forces of evil didn’t want Daniel to hear from the Lord, so they confronted God’s angel to stop him from getting Daniel the message or revelation from God. We see that when God wants to speak to us today, there will be demonic opposition so, you won’t hear from the Lord. The way we hear from the Lord Jesus Christ today is through the Scriptures. It is no surprise that reading God’s Word becomes very difficult, and without fail, distractions seem to come up the moment we decide to spend time with the Lord by reading His Word.

The enemy will go through tremendous lengths to keep you from praying and reading God’s Word so you won’t feed your faith and hear from the Lord. We must fight the urges to do something else rather than read the Scriptures. Fight the good fight of faith.
