17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If our hope in Christ is for this life alone, we are to be pitied more than all men. -1 Corinthians 15:17-19 BSB
If Jesus is still in the grave today, then everything He said in the Scriptures is not true—no heaven or hell, and no hope is required as sin is our imagination. Such a reality would make humanity a sorry and pitiful creature with no retribution for all the evil done in the world and no expectation of salvation from this crooked generation. However, thanks to Him who lives forever and ever, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that He indeed rose from the grave and is seated at the right hand of God Almighty.
20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. -1 Corinthians 15:20-22 BSB
Heaven, hell, and sin are all real. Our sins were atoned for through Jesus’ death and resurrection that by faith in Him, one will be made new knowing that in our death, eternal life will begin in Christ Jesus.
17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come! -2 Corinthians 5:17 BSB
Through Christ’s resurrection and faith in Him, all things will be made new forever.
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. 4 ‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,’ and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.” 5 And the One seated on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are faithful and true.” -Revelation 21:3-5 BSB
