The Antichrist’s false prophet will perform great miracles and wonders to awe the people to get them to give their allegiance to the Antichrist. After an idol is created in the likeness of the Antichrist, a demon will enter the idol and make it speak with authority.
It will give everybody the option to either receive the mark of the beast, which would permanently reserve a place in hell for them, or choose to reject the mark of the beast and pay for it with their lives.
In the Great Tribulation, one’s decision for Jesus will make the difference between life and death. Both decisions contain death, but only one will result in eternal life. If you choose to get the 666, you will forever be separated from the presence of God—spiritually dead in the flames of fire (Revelation 14:9-12). But, if you decide to die for Jesus Christ by rejecting the beast’s mark, you will gain eternal life after your death.
