As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, all of us are in a spiritual battle, if we like it or not. We are fighting for souls so they won’t die in their sins and end up in hell. There is no such thing as being on the sidelines, watching the battle as a spectator. Either one is fighting [using God’s Word] false teachers and preachers, or being a casualty on the battlefield, useless for God’s work.
Remember, our true enemy is not a false Christian, a cult, or one in the occult. Our true enemy is the one who is behind them [demonic spirits]. That is why we have to fight them with spiritual weapons. The way to put on the Full Armor of God is by praying and reading God’s Word every day. Each piece of Armor has to do with your moral standing with God—meaning you have to be living out the Scriptures and obeying the Lord’s commands. If you are not, then understand this, you are on a battlefield without the proper gear and are in danger of having your faith destroyed.
If Jesus, the truth of God’s Word, and people’s souls are important to you, you will put on the Full Armor of God and fight for the truth. However, if you decide to stay on the sideline and be a spectator, the opposite is true.
