Be Careful With Deceptive Arguments

I am saying this so that no one will deceive you with persuasive arguments.

Colossians 2:4, HCSB

Paul was warning the church in Colossae to look out for deception by way of a good argument. In verse 3, the Scripture says…“All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him.” A deceptive argument will try to establish their truth apart from the person of Jesus Christ. They will bring up topics as a way to make you doubt the divinity of Jesus Christ, salvation by faith alone in Jesus, the Trinity, and other arguments alike that will try to push you away from the Lord.

Remember, when you are in a debate, stick with what the Bible states. Be careful not to get out of the Scriptures going inside a rabbit hole. An atheist will be a great example of this. They will try to make you go down their rabbit hole that will get you lost in their illogical thinking. They will try to make you prove the existence of God. They do this because their belief is so unrealistic and impossible to prove that they will shift you away from asking them the questions that they know they cannot answer.

How can an atheist prove that “nothing” created the universe? None of them can. Space itself is expanding outwardly. If you would hit the rewind button, it will show you its beginning. Anything that has a beginning, must have someone to begin it. “Nothing” can’t start anything.

Don’t let the atheist take you away from the Scriptures. Use the Scriptures to show them that God created the universe. And that they need to prove to you their illogical reasoning. Which is more logical? God created everything? Or “Nothing” created everything? It is that basic and simple.

Why Is Atheism So Dangerous?

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Why is the belief of atheism so dangerous for the atheist? The reason it is so dangerous is that Satan blinds them and convinces them that God is not real, which keeps the person from pursuing spiritual truth, like the afterlife and the Creator of the universe. That type of persuasion keeps them in the dark.

When a person doesn’t believe that something is real, they won’t try to investigate it to see if it is true. If they presume to seek the Bible for evidence, they go about it with complete doubt making it useless and a waste of their time.

The devil persuades these people from even thinking about searching for God through the Bible by luring them away through worldly lust of all kinds. The devil tells them, “if you become a Christian, you cannot enjoy your sinful desires that you live for and must give them up.” He will keep them from the truth, which will send them to hell because they won’t seek redemption from their state by asking Jesus Christ for salvation.

Imagine that you are in a big boat and you come across a man whose boat capsized and now is in the water, which is teeming with sharks. You offer to save the man. He gives you a weird look and says to you, “save me from what?” You reply, “Huh…don’t you know that you are in danger?” The man then replies, “I don’t need any saving.” Then you say, “Are you serious?” “If you don’t get into my boat, you will be eaten by sharks.” To your amazement, the man replies, “Sharks don’t exist and you are deluded that I’m in such trouble. Leave me alone and go tell this fairy tale to someone else. I’m fine where I am at.”

Friend, don’t be like this atheist. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and what He did for you. He died on the cross and rose from the grave on the third day. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins, and He will forgive you and give you eternal life.

This John Arthur is full of hatred, bitterness, and rage against a righteous God, Jesus Christ because John Arthur is in darkness and serves his father the devil. If you notice that all these godless people hate the Word of God, proving its power and truth in it. Satan hates God’s Word because it saves those who believe in what it says about Jesus Christ. No wonder Satan’s followers also detest the Scriptures.

People who are godless, like atheists, have a pure hatred towards the Living God, Jesus Christ, who is the Savior of the world because Satan is their god. You see this with their vile and filthy mouth against Jesus Christ and His saints. If you are a Christian and have dealt with one, you know exactly what I’m talking about. There are even atheists who have committed their blogs to attack the person of Jesus Christ and even try to persuade believers, if they can, to abandon their Lord and Savior as they have done. They never had a spiritual backbone, the Holy Spirit, from keeping their faith from collapsing.

Why do these vile and hateful atheists have the desire to blaspheme God? The Book of Revelation answers that question. See below.

5 The beast was given a mouth to speak arrogant and blasphemous words, and authority to act for 42 months. 6 And the beast opened its mouth to speak blasphemies against God and to slander His name and His tabernacle—those who dwell in heaven.

Anyone who curses God by blaspheming and attacking God’s Word, calling the truth, a lie, and the lie [the theory of evolution] the truth, comes from demonic spirits who live in their hearts.

If you notice, when a fake Christian apostatizes, they become full of rage against Jesus Christ. Why does this happen? Well, what happens when the light is turned off? Darkness appears, resetting them to default, sin. The absence of light is darkness, not the other way around. So, when a person abandons God, darkness fills their heart, and you will see them get from somewhat good, to bad, then worse, and finally unapproachable with the gospel.
