Why Wouldn’t Jesus Allow The Demon To Say Who He Was?

The demon whispering lies to a false teacher

Mark 1:23-26

23 Just then a man with an unclean spirit was in their synagogue. He cried out, 24 “What do You have to do with us, Jesus—Nazarene? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!” 25 But Jesus rebuked him and said, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” 26 And the unclean spirit convulsed him, shouted with a loud voice, and came out of him.

Why wouldn’t Jesus allow the demon to say the truth about who He was?

What we first have to understand is even if a false teacher says or teaches one part of Scripture correctly and we accept it, we unknowingly will give him legitimacy as being a true Christian or even worse, God is using him. Those who witness us accept it will think that it is okay to believe some of their teachings as from the Holy Spirit, even though a false teacher does not have the Holy Spirit. Remember, false teachers are used by demons (1 Timothy 4:1-3) and their purpose is to teach the truth with small lies. Deception sounds like the truth and if we are not in the Word we won’t be able to see his true intentions behind his message. By accepting a teaching from someone who is false, you are putting yourself in danger and others to be deceived.

Never ever receive a doctrine, even if it sounds correct from a person that you know full well believes in unbiblical doctrines because it will always contain lies.

Let me illustrate it this way. When we go fishing, we must first deceive the fish with the bait. The bait is real but wrapped over a deadly hook. The fisherman allows the fish to nibble on the bait which is seemingly harmless until it tries to swallow all of it and in the process gets hooked.

That is how a false teacher directed by demons work. They will give you the truth as they hear it from true Christians because believe me, they didn’t get it from the Holy Spirit since they are devoid of Him. Once you have accepted some of their teachings, they will introduce their erroneous ones and it will be more palatable for you to receive it.

Now, we understand why Jesus didn’t accept the demon’s confession because the demon wasn’t really there to promote Jesus, just like a false teacher.

If Jesus would have allowed the demon to speak and proclaim who He was without the demon being rebuked by Him, it would have been easier for the evil spirit to deceive the crowd. Once the demon saw that they believed him, he would have introduced a false narrative of Jesus to deceive them all.

1 John 4:1

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to determine if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

The Pope’s Title: Vicar Of Christ, Reveals Its True Dark Meaning

Vicar
The Leader of the Antichrist church and of its demonic doctrines (1 Timothy 4:1-3)

Vicarius is the Latin word for Vicar and the full title for the Pope is Vicarius Christi (Vicar of Christ). Now, what is interesting is that the equivalent meaning of the word Vicar in the Greek is Anti, Strongs# 473.

  • Vicarius (Latin Dictionary)-Substitute, deputy, one acting for another
  • Anti-(Greek Strongs# 473)-In exchange for, as a substitute for, on my behalf

The Pope literally has the title: Antichrist (Vicar of Christ), that’s what it really means. Catholicism acknowledges Jesus Christ as Savior, but in practice, they are full-blown idolatries and on top of that they add and elevate their traditions as equal to that of Scripture. By following their traditions they eliminate God’s Word, making it of no effect in their lives.

If you are a Catholic, you are in an Antichrist religion which the Roman Catholic Church will be in cahoots with, the man of lawlessness, in the end-times (Revelation 17).

Run my friends from this evil religion and go into the arms of Jesus.

The Danger Of Compromising

compromised-truth

Compromise

-When a believer does it-

This is what the word truly means to me.

CompromiseTo Believe that God’s Word is the truth but indirectly is being rejected for the sake of someone’s feelings.

What ends up happening is that an argument or issue is put above the truth which pulverizes it to powder in a believer’s life. Now, they dangerously drift a long distance from the truth and the longer they stay there, the more of a possibility that apostasy will take place.

Hebrews 10:36-39

36 For you need endurance, so that after you have done God’s will, you may receive what was promised.
37 For yet in a very little while, the Coming One will come and not delay.
38 But My righteous one will live by faith; and if he draws back, I have no pleasure in him.
39 But we are not those who draw back and are destroyed, but those who have faith and obtain life.

“For you need endurance” All believers in Jesus Christ need to endure in the truth regardless of the outcome. If you notice, in the same verse it equates endurance with accomplishing God’s will. If we compromise how can you glorify the Lord since it will keep you from doing His will.

“But My righteous one will live by faith” What is faith? Faith, first of all, comes by hearing the Gospel of Christ Jesus as seen in Romans 10:17 which says, So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.

Second, faith must continue in God’s Word which feeds it as seen in Matthew 4:4 which says, But He answered, “It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

Compromising the truth will cause your faith in Jesus to become undernourished.

“and if he draws back, I have no pleasure in him.” Compromising the truth of Scripture causes the individual’s faith to draw back from the source (God) who strengthens it because it is connected to His Word, thus if one is tossed so goes the other. God abhors a compromiser.

In verse 39, it clearly gives us hope that the Holy Spirit will keep us from compromising the truth and from drawing back away from Christ.
