Not Even A Single Hair Will Be Lost For Those That Love God

26 Then Nebuchadnezzar approached the door of the blazing fiery furnace and called out, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out!” So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the fire, 27 and when the satraps, prefects, governors, and royal advisers had gathered around, they saw that the fire had no effect on the bodies of these men. Not a hair of their heads was singed, their robes were unaffected, and there was no smell of fire on them.

Daniel 3:26-27 BSB

Daniel’s three friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, refused to worship what the king of Babylon had made. They stayed faithful to the LORD, and they’d rather die than compromise their faith in the true Living God. Not only did God spare them from being burned, but even their hairs were kept from the fire. I want to bring to your attention their hair not being singed or touched by the fire. Through the Bible, it has great significance. Let’s look at other verses with the same message of God not allowing one’s hair to be touched.

16 You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you will be put to death. 17 And you will be hated by everyone because of My name. 18 Yet not even a hair of your head will perish. 19 By your patient endurance you will gain your souls.

Luke 21:16-19 BSB

Jesus in Luke says that some will be killed but not even a single hair from their heads will perish. What Jesus is saying here is that the lives of His children are so precious in His sight that everything about them means a lot to Him. Even, the insignificant part about us, our hair, God will protect, meaning that if in this world we lose our life, we will gain eternal life when we reopen them again in His presence. The hair is emphasized to express from the Lord a deep love for those who have given their hearts and minds to Jesus. To look at one more place where one’s hair is mentioned is in Matthew 10.

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Matthew 10:29-31 BSB

Jesus in Matthew 10:30 says that He knows how many hairs you have on your head. Mind you, many of us lose strands of hair daily, so that means that Jesus continues to know the number of hairs that stay on our heads until some fall off again. What is Jesus trying to say? It shows that Jesus cares about you so much that even the things that don’t have importance, Jesus also cares about them. Every aspect of your life means a lot to Jesus.

Whatever you are going through, it doesn’t matter if you think it’s small, and you might feel that you can’t bring your concerns to Him. According to the Scriptures, He cares for you more than you think.

Open Your Heart To God

[Mark 10:21] “21 Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

[Mark 10:22] “22 At this the man’s face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth.

[Mark 10:23] “23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”

Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart because He loves you more than you can fathom. What’s keeping you from letting Him into your life? Pride, or maybe money? How about a lifestyle of careless living? Whatever the reason is, it is not worth it. We all are appointed to die once and go to a place of eternity.

There are only two places where you can choose. The first one is heaven, where Jesus reigns with His angels, and one day will reign on earth with His saints. The second one is the one that I would try to persuade you from going, which is hell. Hell, was first created for Satan and his fallen angels. Since men fell into sin, it has become our sentence unless we choose the only way out.

In John 11:25-26, the Scripture declares, “25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

The life that Jesus was referring to is one with Him in heaven where there are no sufferings, tears, pain, tribulations, homelessness, anguish, and sadness. If you reject Jesus, you won’t get eternal life, but a place of torment, where you will experience the pain of weeping and gnashing of teeth in hell. God is not in that place. And you don’t have to be there either.

The only way to escape the place of torment is by putting your trust in Jesus Christ, that He died for your sins on the cross, rose from the grave on the third day, and is seated with the Father in heaven. Only Jesus can forgive your sins if you ask Him. Why are you waiting? Remember, no one is promised tomorrow, so don’t waste any more time, go.
