The Signs That Follow A Believer

10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. -Revelation 3:10 BSB

The church in Philadelphia is a model for the believers in Jesus Christ today. A couple of signs that will follow a person who has been truly converted and has the Holy Spirit living inside of him is that he continues to keep God’s Word by believing in it and living it out. The other sign is that his faith doesn’t give up when his prayers seem not to get answered. His faith pushes him to persist in asking the Lord until he receives an answer. Not only is he persistent in prayer, but he also doesn’t get persuaded to abandon sound doctrine over the culture’s ideology to compromise the truth.

If these signs accompany you, you have been truly born again, and Jesus will rescue you from the coming wrath—the seven-year Great Tribulation that is fast approaching. If today you are not sure of your status with the Lord, now is the time to do so before He comes and catches you off-guard.

Looking Up For My Redemption

When these things begin to happen, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near. -Luke 21:28 BSB

“When these things begin to happen” Which event did Jesus refer to when speaking to His disciples that had to start to indicate their salvation from this present world?

Jesus started with the destruction of the second Temple. That was the beginning sign of His return in the much distant future.

The other sign to look at was the inundation of false Christs—people claiming to be the second coming of Jesus Christ. They will deceive many by way of emotions and false teachings working on those who don’t know the Scriptures and are prone to manipulation.

Jesus also included the signs of hearing the rumors of potential world wars suggesting that world peace will be taken away. Nations will start getting impatient with each other over resources and boundaries.

There will be an uprising of different ethnicity fighting one another. An uptick (much more frequent) of “earthquakes, famines, and pestilences” happening “in various places.”

All the signs mentioned above will become more common before the Antichrist’s arrival, and all those signs will reach their climax during the Seven-year Tribulation, when the wrath of God is poured out upon the earth, see Revelation 6.

We shouldn’t be afraid or discouraged because of how dark the world is getting. God’s wrath is initiated due to the majority of people abandoning God, making the world evil. The more evil the world becomes, the closer Jesus is getting to rescue us from the Great Tribulation which is fast approaching.

Even though Luke 21:28 seems to point to Jesus’ second coming, however, we understand that 1 Thessalonians chapters 1 & 4, 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, and Revelation 3:10, clearly suggest that our redemption is the rapture without a shadow of the doubt.

Be encouraged, with the signs we are seeing today, the rapture is much closer than we think. make sure He catches you living out His will.

How Close Are We To The End Times And The Return Of Jesus Christ?

Who has heard of such as this? Who has seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be delivered in an instant? Yet as soon as Zion was in labor, she gave birth to her children. -Isaiah 66:8 BSB

The beginning of the End Times started with the rebirth of the Jewish nation of Israel in 1948. No other known nation in history came into existence in a day, especially one whose people were being killed by their enemy, to wipe them out from the face of the earth (the holocaust). For the Antichrist to be here, there needs to be a Jewish State, see 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4.

Another sign that we are living in the End Times and the close return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is in the mass exodus of sound doctrine from professing Christian in favor of being accepted by the culture so that they won’t be persecuted and through false messages from false teachers. Many false Christs will arise and say that they are Jesus and deceive many. Those signs are in multiple places in the Scriptures. See below.

17 But they themselves have no root, and they remain for only a season. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. -Mark 4:17 BSB

5 For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many…10 At that time many will fall away and will betray and hate one another, 11 and many false prophets will arise and mislead many. -Matthew 24:5, 10 BSB

Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, 2 influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron. -1 Timothy 4:1-2 BSB

3 Let no one deceive you in any way, for it will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness—the son of destruction—is revealed. -2 Thessalonians 2:3 BSB

There are many more signs I can go into, but these make it clear what type of Christians we ought to be in a crooked and wicked generation. Godless leaders are plunging this world into deep darkness. They are getting it ready for the Antichrist.
