Verse of the Day Q&A: Who Is Leading You?

John 16:13

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

We are all like a boat in the vast ocean that gets carried by the waves to every direction with no purpose. But when we are brought into God’s presence through faith in Jesus we are made alive and anchored in Christ. The transformation that takes place within us by the truth is seen by the fruit we bear for His kingdom.

  • Which direction are you headed by the waves of life?
  • Are you headed towards Jesus or away from Him?

Verse of the Day Q&A: Zeal For God’s Word

2 Timothy 2:15

15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth.

The word “diligent” in Greek means to be eager or zealous. God approves of those who are eagered to study God’s Word so that they can correctly preach the truth to the lost and keep themselves on the right track. Are you zealous to know the truth? Do you read the Bible everyday to seek to know the Lord more or you just don’t have that zeal like when you first got saved? How important is God’s approval to you?

Verse of the Day Q&A: When We Doubt

Matthew 11:2-6

2 Now when John had heard in prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, 3 and said to Him, “Are You He who should come, or should we look for another?”
4 Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: 5 The blind receive their sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. 6 Blessed is he who does not fall away because of Me.”

Our faith only gets hit when we go through a difficult situation. Tribulation stimulates and forces our faith to work. Even if doubt creeps in, it shows that we have strayed a bit from Christ but the good news is that when we pray for help, Jesus strengthens our faith in Him. Do you recall a time that you doubted and how did Jesus bring your faith back up?

Verse of the Day Q&A: Do You Have An Idol In Your Home?

Deuteronomy 7:25-26

25 You must burn the graven images of their gods with fire. You must not desire the silver or gold that is on them nor take any of it, lest you be snared by them, for it is an abomination to the Lord your God. 26 You shall not bring an abomination into your house, lest you become cursed like it, but you must absolutely detest and abhor it, for it is a cursed thing.

Have you placed in your home something that doesn’t belong there or that would take your heart away from Jesus? Regardless if it’s an image or not but draws you away from following the Lord then it’s an abomination unto the Lord because your devotional time is going to something else. Can you think of anything in your home that’s taking you away from Christ?

Verse of the Day Q&A: Prayer Is One Of The Highest Priority God Has For Us

1 Samuel 12:23

“As for me, I vow that I will not sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you. I will teach you the good and right way.

When was the last time you prayed for all of your friends and families? Every morning that you wake up, God is waiting to hear from your heart so that He can rejoice because He wants you to participate in His will. What are the things in your heart that you would like to tell the Lord today?
