The Polarizing Effect Of Truth

34 Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn

I would like to take this opportunity to tackle two issues that I, as a believer in Jesus Christ have come across in the past. Some professing Christians are living in a way that is displeasing to God, thinking that they are doing God’s will.

The first issue I have seen on the internet is someone living two different lives. A Christian cannot have one foot in the world—living like an unregenerate person—and the other foot in Christ. The Bible calls that type of person lukewarm.

15 I know your deeds; you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were one or the other! 16 So because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to vomit you out of My mouth! -Revelation 3:15-16 BSB

For example, let’s look at a person who went around to Christian sites, attacking them by using a fake name called Polarius.

A Christian used the name Polarius to act out his hatred toward the Evangelical Community because of their conservative stance and its values, which are closer to biblical views than the alternative. I have no animosity toward the Polarius character. My heart is for that person to repent and get right with the Lord Jesus Christ before the rapture of our great God and Savior occurs to bring the saints to Himself. I believe the culture took hold of this person’s heart, confused him, and pushed him away from the gospel of Jesus Christ. If a person truly has the Holy Spirit, repentance will take place.

The second issue is not taking a stand for the truth because of the fear of people. Being like that will cause you to walk the Christian life backward. They seem to be ashamed of defending God’s Word, but we must understand that those who compromise the truth of God’s Word are no different from those who reject Jesus Christ. The Scripture demands us to confront those in error and defend the holy Scripture, as stated in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 & Jude 1:3.

If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels. -Mark 8:38 BSB

Verse By Verse Through Revelation (18:11-15)

11 “And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore

Their distress for the city that was destroyed has nothing to do with the souls that perished but for their wallets.

12 merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble;

The woman/city is very wealthy, and purchases merchandise from all kinds of vendors which in turn makes them prosperous.

13 and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men.

It is interesting to note that the verse reveals not only do they enslave people with false doctrine but also make some physical slaves to carry out their plans.

14 The fruit that your soul longed for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all.

The merchant’s financial tower (business) will collapse due to the downfall of the false religious system.

15 The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing

Their god is their money and those who serve that god will perish.

There Is A Spiritual Battle For Your Soul To Apostatize

Mediums and any other spiritual guidance apart from the Bible pretend to be good but in reality, they are pure evil

Acts 16:16

Once, as we were on our way to prayer, a slave girl met us who had a spirit of prediction. She made a large profit for her owners by fortune-telling.

Behind every medium, fortune-teller, spiritist, palm reader, and any other occultic practices is a demon with that person.

It doesn’t stop there. False teachers, Idols, or any New Age books are accompanied by demonic entities.

False teachers:

1 Kings 13:16-19 

16 But he answered, “I cannot go back with you, eat bread, or drink water with you in this place, 17 for a message came to me by the word of the Lord: ‘You must not eat bread or drink water there or go back by the way you came.’” 18 He said to him, “I am also a prophet like you. An angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord: ‘Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.’” The old prophet deceived him, 19 and the man of God went back with him, ate bread in his house, and drank water.

Idols

1 Corinthians 10:14-21

14 Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry. 15 I am speaking as to wise people. Judge for yourselves what I say. 16 The cup of blessing that we give thanks for, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ? 17 Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for all of us share that one bread. 18 Look at the people of Israel. Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in what is offered on the altar? 19 What am I saying then? That food offered to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? 20 No, but I do say that what they sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God. I do not want you to participate with demons! 21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot share in the Lord’s table and the table of demons.

1 Timothy 4:1-2

Now the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, 2 through the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared.

Matthew 15:1-9

Then Pharisees and scribes came from Jerusalem to Jesus and asked, 2 “Why do Your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they don’t wash their hands when they eat!” 3 He answered them, “And why do you break God’s commandment because of your tradition? 4 For God said:

Honor your father and your mother; and,
The one who speaks evil of father or mother
must be put to death.

5 But you say, ‘Whoever tells his father or mother, “Whatever benefit you might have received from me is a gift committed to the temple”— 6 he does not have to honor his father.’ In this way, you have revoked God’s word because of your tradition. 7 Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said:

8 These people honor Me with their lips,
but their heart is far from Me.
9 They worship Me in vain,
teaching as doctrines the commands of men.”

This is why I strongly encourage all of my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus to always have the Full Armor of God on (Ephesians 6:10-18). We live in dangerous times and you are a marked person. The evil spirits won’t stop until you are destroyed. Jesus is our only hope and strength. We have overcome the demonic forces by placing our faith in Jesus and holding tight to the Word of God. That is our weapon and our spiritual food. As long as we continue to mirror God’s Word in our life, we will overcome darkness with Christ’s righteousness.

If we neglect Scripture, we will be in trouble. The only way we can get closer to Jesus is through His Word. Remember that. Don’t ever forget it.

May the Lord Jesus Christ give all of His children a hunger and thirst for His righteousness.
