Continuing with Romans 1:24…

24 Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity for the dishonoring of their bodies with one another.

There is a time of no return. The moment that a person has indefinitely rejected the Lord Jesus Christ in favor of one’s sin, God will give them over to it, and they will end up dying in that state without the possibility of getting saved. In this case, the sin that permeates society is homosexuality (see verses 26-27). We are living in this time.

The decay of society’s morality begins when the people abandon God’s Word for a lie like another spirituality or the culture. Once the world heads in that direction, full-blown idolatry will surface in various shapes like statues, materialism, self, money, and status. The lie that we are seeing today that’s replacing God in many countries is liberal socialism which is man-centered.

“Dishonorable passions” is about sexual immorality. Sexual immorality has a broad meaning that encompasses all sexual sins. Here, it’s specific to homosexuality. God created men and women for marriage and procreation. When a man sleeps with a man or a woman sleeps with a woman, they become detestable to the Lord because that was not the purpose of God for them.

We are living in a day and age where homosexuality is forced on everyone to accept. The children are the ones in the most danger as they are like sponges, taking everything in. Satan understands that by focusing on the little ones—twisting their minds in school, they will grow up rejecting the God of the Bible—making it much easier for the devil to deceive them completely.

See verse 26 and its commentary. The phrase “received in themselves the due penalty” refers that in Judgment Day, their verdict will be guilty of being condemned to hell for their lifestyle, revealing that they have rejected Jesus as their Lord and Savior. To stay as a practicing homosexual for the rest of your life shows where your permanent home will be after death. A spiritual death sentence is when God gives you over to your sins.

Can You Be Gay And Christian At The Same Time?

Many people who are gay sincerely believe they can claim to be followers of Christ and still live that lifestyle. Homosexuality is a sin, and before one can serve the Lord Jesus Christ in righteousness, they have to repent—leaving that lifestyle behind and embracing the life that Jesus has to offer.

The Scripture makes it very clear that a homosexual living the lifestyle cannot make it to heaven. See below.

9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. -1 Corinthians 6:9-10 BSB

The good news is that through faith in Jesus Christ, your sin of homosexuality can be forgiven, making you holy to be used for the Lord’s glory.

11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. -1 Corinthians 6:11 BSB

Why can’t a homosexual make it to heaven? The answer is found in Genesis.

18 The LORD God also said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make for him a suitable helper.” -Genesis 2:18 BSB

Adam was lonely and in need of a companion. Adam’s companion had to complement him in friendship and to be able to produce a family with him so that the world could become populated. So, who did God have in mind for Adam? A woman named Eve.

21 So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep, and while he slept, He took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the area with flesh. 22 And from the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man, He made a woman and brought her to him. 23 And the man said: “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for out of man she was taken.” 24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. -Genesis 2:21-24 BSB

Since the beginning, God created men and women for marriage to fill the earth with their kind. Satan, however, had a different plan. He wanted to disrupt God’s will and the good that God had instituted by polluting it through homosexuality. God told Adam and Eve to populate the earth. The way that the enemy can attack God’s plan is by introducing homosexuality.

A man and a woman are natural, but men with men or women with women are unnatural. Let’s say you had 300 people broken into three groups of 100 each; Group number one contains 100 men. Group number two has 100 women. And, the third group has 50 men and 50 women. If these three groups were spread far apart from each other and waited for 100 years to pass, how many people would you have in each group?

• The first group of 100 men, you would end up with zero people.

• The second group of 100 women, you would end up with zero people.

• The third group of 50 men and 50 women, you would end up doubling it to 200 people.

If you are living as a gay person and still believe that you are a Christian, you are deceived. You will not make it to heaven in that state as it is a sin in God’s eyes. Repent of your sins by asking Jesus to forgive you. Accept what Jesus did for you on the cross— He paid your sins in full, and on the third day rose from the grave.

Did God Make Some People Trapped In The Wrong Body?

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness, to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, and over all the earth itself and every creature that crawls upon it.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that crawls upon the earth.” -Genesis 1:26-28 BSB

The gay and transgender community claim and swear that God made them that way; A man to desire the same sex or dress up as a woman. Did God make a mistake when He created a man or a woman to be and live out the gender He designed for them?

Let’s say that you go to a place to adopt an animal. You look around for a specific kind of animal already in mind. You are searching for a cat. You find the perfect one—white with orange spots. After you picked the one you want and end up paying a high price for it, you are told to wait until it’s delivered to you because it needs to take shots, etc.

You run to your local Pet Shop, excited to buy its bed, toys, and food. After a few days, you get a knock on the door with an enclosed animal case. You sign the paperwork and bring it in. The moment you open it up, a small dog comes out. You get very angry. You take the dog back and say to them, “you gave me the wrong one. I paid for a cat, not a dog.” They tell you, “we knew that you really wanted a small dog, not a cat.”

How would you feel if this happened to you? You know full well that you wouldn’t put up with it. That is what the gay and transgender people are doing to God. They are blaming God for making them gay and transgender, which in reality, it is further from the truth. God did not make you gay or transgender. Sin is what’s causing your confusion.

God created a man to fulfill His will for His glory, but instead, He got back a woman or a man who wants to function as a homosexual. We know that when God created man, it was for him to get married and produce offspring for the Lord. It’s not any different today. He wants for you to have kids and a family so that they can live for Him and go to be with Him in heaven.

If God wanted a woman, He would have created you as one. Why would God make you into a man, then put a desire in you to be a woman or to desire a man? You are doing to God exactly what you would not want someone to do to you.

The reason you feel trapped in a man’s body and want to be a woman is that sin dwells in you. Sin has the potential to direct your life in the opposite direction. If you go to Jesus, He will save you and change the way you think, and change the sinful desires you have.

Jesus said in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” If you put your faith in Jesus Christ, you will not perish in hell but will be saved from it.

Friend, don’t continue to put Jesus off from your life. You are not guaranteed tomorrow. Today is the day of your salvation. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and what he did for you on the cross. He died in your place, rose from the grave to give you a chance to be saved and escape the place of torment.
