In today’s episode, we will continue the series of the Book of John, and look at why the priests were questioning John’s authority in baptizing people. Also, why did John refuse to acknowledge that he was the Elijah to come, as it was confirmed that he was by Jesus later on? The podcast will answer these questions and more.

The Messiah’s Name In The Old Testament

Only God can save you. Those who hope in Him will have no fears. Even when you cannot endure the affliction in your life, God will be your strength, so that you won’t give up and your faith in Him be destroyed. Who truly is God and how can you have a relationship with Him?

Indeed, God is my salvation; I will trust Him and not be afraid, for Yah, the LORD, is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation. -Isaiah 12:2

Indeed, God is my Yeshuah—the Hebrew word for “salvation”. Strong’s #3444

Indeed, God is my Jesus—the English word for Yeshuah.

The whole verse with the meaning of the word “salvation” in English.

Indeed, God is my Jesus; I will trust Him and not be afraid, for Yah, the LORD, is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation. -Isaiah 12:2

Jesus is the Jewish Messiah and of the whole world. If you do not believe that He is God, you cannot be saved.

Therefore I told you that you will die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins. -John 8:24

“For if you do not believe that I am He” Jesus makes it even clearer in John 14.

8 “Lord,” said Philip, “show us the Father, and that’s enough for us.”

9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been among you all this time without your knowing Me, Philip? The one who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? -John 14:8-9

“The one who has seen Me has seen the Father” Who is the Father? God. Now, Let us see the verses again with the word “God” in place of the words “the Father”.

8 “Lord,” said Philip, “show us God, and that’s enough for us.”

9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been among you all this time without your knowing Me, Philip? The one who has seen Me has seen God. How can you say, ‘Show us God’? -John 14:8-9

Jesus calls Himself God.

Whoever puts their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, accepting what He did for you on the cross—paid for your sins and afterward, rose from the grave on the third day, will be saved.

“Part 3-The Coming Jewish Messiah Will Be The False One”

Revelation 13:4, 7-8, 16-18

Verse 4

4 they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?

The “dragon”, or Satan, will be “worshiped” in the End Times by people giving their allegiance to the beast. The dragon will give “authority to the beast”, who is the Antichrist and leader of Satan’s government on earth. In Revelation 6:1-2, the Antichrist’s war begins and through his military might, he becomes the world’s leader. The people will be amazed of how powerful the beast is and exclaim, “who is able to wage war with him?”

Verses 7 & 8

7 It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority was given to him over every tribe, people, language, and nation. 8 All who live on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written since the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slaughtered.

The phrase “It was also given to him” means that the Antichrist was allowed by the Lord to go against and defeat “the saints”, who are Christians. The beast will “overcome them” (the saints) by decapitation or imprisonment. The phrase “everyone whose name has not been written…in the book of life of the Lamb” means that no true or genuine believer in Christ will worship the beast.

Verses 16-18

16 And he causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 and he decrees that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.

At the second half of the seven years of the Great Tribulation, “he”, the Antichrist, will force everyone, regardless of their status in society, “to be given a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads”. This mark will be visible on the body.

The phrase “be able to buy or to sell” means that without the mark, no one can live in society. The phrase “the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name” suggests that the mark of the beast will be to identify who is for the Antichrist.

The phrase “Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast” shows that only Spirit-filled believers will recognize the mark of the beast when it comes out to the public. The Antichrist’s number, 666, will add-up to his name, but others will get his name put on them because his number represents “man.” In Genesis 1, God created man on the sixth day. The number 666 represents a godless, man-centered world. This is seen in Genesis 11:1-9 when the people wanted to build a tower up to the heavens to show that humanity does not need God (globalism).
