It’s All In The Blood Of Jesus

When the LORD passes through to strike Egypt and sees the blood on the lintel and the two doorposts, He will pass over the door and not let the destroyer enter your houses to strike you.

Exodus 12:23 HCSB

The sheep and goat’s blood on the doorposts was a sign of being protected from death by the animal’s blood. This refers to a creature dying in your place so that God’s judgment, the death of every firstborn, would stop the angelic destroyer from killing you or one of your family members.

But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. -1 John 1:7

The death of the animal was a foreshadow of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Jesus was going to receive God’s judgment that we deserve on Him. When you put your faith in Jesus Christ, His blood gets brushed on the doorpost of your heart. When you die, the Lord will see the blood of Christ on you and will not judge you for all the sins you have committed. You see, the blood of Christ not only saves you from judgment, but it also washes away all of your sins.

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Here is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! -John 1:29

Don’t let your heart be troubled in this world with the evil things that you see. Put your trust in Jesus Christ because there’s an appointed time when Jesus will come with all of His angels to rescue us from this world to take us to where He is at.

Having Your Spiritual Clothes Clean

Reflecting The Light

9 The LORD said to Moses, “I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people will hear when I speak with you and will always believe you.” Then Moses reported the people’s words to the LORD. 10 And the LORD told Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. They must wash their clothes 11 and be prepared by the third day, for on the third day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.

Exodus 19:9-11 HCSB

Clothes represent the person’s spiritual condition with the Lord. If their clothes are dirty, it means that they are still in sin. If their clothes are washed and clean, it means their sins have been forgiven.

1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right side to accuse him. 2 The LORD said to Satan: “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! May the LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?” 3 Now Joshua was dressed with filthy clothes as he stood before the Angel. 4 So the Angel of the LORD spoke to those standing before Him, “Take off his filthy clothes!” Then He said to him, “See, I have removed your guilt from you, and I will clothe you with splendid robes.” -Zechariah 3:1-4

Moses was instructed to tell the people to wash their clothes so that they can draw near to God and experience His presence.

As Christians, we have to make sure that our clothes are always clean. Clothes can also refer to how our conscience is toward the Lord. Having a clear conscience means that we are living according to His righteousness as instructed in the Scriptures. Not having a clear conscience means that we haven’t repented and we are not right in God’s eyes.

We should also have concerns for our brothers who are in the faith. Moses, who was concerned for his kindred, helped them to purify themselves before the Lord. The most loving thing you can do for another believer is to direct him or her back to the truth if they are moving in the opposite direction of God’s Word.

In Proverbs 27:6, it says “The wounds of a friend are trustworthy, but the kisses of an enemy are excessive.”

It will hurt your brother or sister when you correct them, but the wound made will turn out to make them stronger and steadier in the truth. They will thank you later and the Lord will be pleased with you for loving your brothers.

Look out for one another, warning them from the devil’s trap. If indeed they have fallen, reach out and extend your hand to pull them out. Don’t let political correctness prevent you from doing your Christian duty for your brothers and sisters and the glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Heaven

The Only Way To Heaven Is Through Faith In Jesus Christ (John 14:6)

in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Revelation 22:2 NASB

The tree of life represents eternal healing with no more death, sickness, and any other illnesses. In heaven, we will live forever. We will have a spiritual body that will surpass the laws of physics. No need for transportation either. You can go from point A to point B from many miles away faster than a second.

Heaven surpasses the best parts that you can get here on earth. Your joy in heaven will be much more than all the joy people ever felt from all times of the history of mankind. The best part is that we get to see Jesus, as He is, in heaven and speak to Him face to face.

Our eyes will see new colors never seen before. Our ears will hear sounds never heard before. Everything that we will experience in heaven will be new to all those that have Jesus Christ in their hearts.

The way to go to heaven and be with Jesus is to accept His free gift of salvation. Believe that He died for you on the cross because of your sins. He took your punishment upon Himself for you. Ask Jesus today to save you, and He will if you mean it from the heart. Don’t wait for tomorrow. You don’t know if you will make it. Get saved today.
