Would you trust Jesus to provide for you when it seems impossible?

Wine jug with bread and fish

John 6:5-11

5 Therefore, when Jesus looked up and noticed a huge crowd coming toward Him, He asked Philip, “Where will we buy bread so these people can eat?” 6 He asked this to test him, for He Himself knew what He was going to do. 7 Philip answered, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread wouldn’t be enough for each of them to have a little.” 8 One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, 9 “There’s a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish—but what are they for so many?” 10 Then Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place, so they sat down. The men numbered about 5,000. 11 Then Jesus took the loaves, and after giving thanks He distributed them to those who were seated—so also with the fish, as much as they wanted.

When you find yourself with the impending depletion of your basic needs, do not worry for He is testing you. Jesus is about to do something in your life that in the eyes of this world it would be impossible so that God may receive all the glory through your testimony. Your testimony will show that the Lord you serve is the True Living God and He helps those who are His and through that, He will bring people to Himself. A denarius was a day’s wage and not even 200 of that would have fed 5000 men. Jesus’ power has no limit and with 5 loaves and 2 fish which equals 7, being God’s number, the Sabbath/Rest (blessing), He fed the masses and took care of them. Jesus loves you and wants you to learn not to worry about anything but to know that He will never leave you nor forsake you. If you find yourself in a bad situation, continue to be faithful to the Lord, by reading His Word, doing what it says and giving Him thanks because He is a God that loves you and will see you through it.
