“Part 3-The Coming Jewish Messiah Will Be The False One”

Revelation 13:4, 7-8, 16-18

Verse 4

4 they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?

The “dragon”, or Satan, will be “worshiped” in the End Times by people giving their allegiance to the beast. The dragon will give “authority to the beast”, who is the Antichrist and leader of Satan’s government on earth. In Revelation 6:1-2, the Antichrist’s war begins and through his military might, he becomes the world’s leader. The people will be amazed of how powerful the beast is and exclaim, “who is able to wage war with him?”

Verses 7 & 8

7 It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority was given to him over every tribe, people, language, and nation. 8 All who live on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written since the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slaughtered.

The phrase “It was also given to him” means that the Antichrist was allowed by the Lord to go against and defeat “the saints”, who are Christians. The beast will “overcome them” (the saints) by decapitation or imprisonment. The phrase “everyone whose name has not been written…in the book of life of the Lamb” means that no true or genuine believer in Christ will worship the beast.

Verses 16-18

16 And he causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 and he decrees that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.

At the second half of the seven years of the Great Tribulation, “he”, the Antichrist, will force everyone, regardless of their status in society, “to be given a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads”. This mark will be visible on the body.

The phrase “be able to buy or to sell” means that without the mark, no one can live in society. The phrase “the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name” suggests that the mark of the beast will be to identify who is for the Antichrist.

The phrase “Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast” shows that only Spirit-filled believers will recognize the mark of the beast when it comes out to the public. The Antichrist’s number, 666, will add-up to his name, but others will get his name put on them because his number represents “man.” In Genesis 1, God created man on the sixth day. The number 666 represents a godless, man-centered world. This is seen in Genesis 11:1-9 when the people wanted to build a tower up to the heavens to show that humanity does not need God (globalism).

“Part 2-The Coming Jewish Messiah Will Be The False One”

Revelation 12:6, 13-17

6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that there she would be nourished for 1,260 days.

The “woman” mentioned here is Israel. For more details on the word “fled” read Matthew 24:15-18. God sends His people to “the wilderness” as He has prepared a place of safety for them away from the dragon’s reach. The word “nourished” refers to God providing for their basic needs. God will protect them “for 1,260 days” which will be the second half of the three and a half years.

13 And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. 14 But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished for a time, times, and half a time, away from the presence of the serpent. 15 And the serpent hurled water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood. 16 But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon had hurled out of his mouth. 17 So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

“The dragon” who is Satan, will be defeated in the war of wars, which will occur in the second half of the Great Tribulation. “The woman” represents the nation of Israel, which Satan will try to destroy after he loses the war of wars that takes place in heaven. “The male Child” refers to Jesus Christ, who was born in Jerusalem. The phrase “the two wings of the great eagle” (read Exodus 19:4 & Psalm 91:4 for the meaning of it) will show that God Himself will take them to safety. The phrase “nourished for a time, times, and half a time” refers to three and a half years of safety. The phrase “the serpent” is another title for Satan, which points back to the beginning in the Book of Genesis Chapter 3, who caused the downfall of Adam and Eve.

The phrase “hurled water like a river” could refer to an army sent after the Jewish people to kill them all. The phrase “the earth helped the woman” means that the Lord will intervene to help the Jewish people. After God helps “the woman” who is Israel, Satan, the dragon, will become “enraged” since he was prohibited from destroying them. The phrase “the rest of her children” refers to the believers in Jesus Christ who resides in the other parts of the world. The phrase “keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus” means that not all who call themselves Christian are, but only those who keep the Word of God.

“Part 1-The Coming Jewish Messiah Will Be The False One”

Matthew 24:15-18

15 “Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place—let the reader understand— 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 17 Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get things out of his house. 18 And whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.

During The Seven Years Tribulation

Jesus was talking about the End Times to His disciples, pointing to them what Daniel said in Daniel 9:27 about “the abomination of desolation”, which is the indicator of when the Antichrist will start to take over the world. Jesus said that when you see the statue of the Antichrist in the third temple to run for your life.

The phrase “the holy place” is very significant because the Antichrist will proclaim to be God [2 Thessalonians 2:4] in a third temple yet to be built. Either the beast of Revelation through the Seven Years peace treaty allows the Jewish people to build their temple, or before the beast (the Antichrist) comes to the world stage will there be a third temple. Either way, the temple is a sign on how close we are to the End Times.

The phrase “those who are in Judea” refers to the Jewish people that are in Israel at the time of the events which will take place during the Great Tribulation. Read Revelation 12:6 which is in reference to “flee to the mountains.”

In Part 3, I will tackle Revelation Chapters 12 & 13 to go into more detail about the time frame for the Jews’ safety in the wilderness and the mark of the beast.
