How Much Do You Really Love Jesus?

Loving God

Have you ever asked yourself this question? How much do I really love God’s Word?

Are you willing to lose friends over it?  How about family, are they more important than the Word of God?

How far are you willing to stand up for The Truth?

Genesis 3:1-3

Now the serpent was the most cunning of all the wild animals that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You can’t eat from any tree in the garden’?”

2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit from the trees in the garden. 3 But about the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, God said, ‘You must not eat it or touch it, or you will die.’”

The word “cunning” means prudent or wise but in a negative sense as to trick you through deception. The first thing Satan does is attack the Word of God. That is our only defense. Eve answered Satan correctly, repeating God’s Word, but then she seems to add to God’s Word with “or touch it.” God never told Adam and Eve that they couldn’t touch the fruit but that they couldn’t eat it. Eve literally added extra-biblical sources. Maybe she got it from her husband Adam who wanted to protect her and added it. The thing is that if Adam did do that he was adding to God’s Word which backfired. Once Satan got Eve to touch the fruit and nothing immediately happened to her she took the bite.

We are living in a time as prophesied in 2 Timothy 4:3 which says, “For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear what they want to hear.”

The closer we get to the return of Jesus Christ, the more lukewarm Christians will abandon sound doctrine for their favorite teachers, [WordPress] friends and status.

What is a lukewarm Christian?

A lukewarm Christian is a person who is not committed wholeheartedly to Jesus. He/she has one foot in the world to please people and the other to Christ to please Him. This is only done by compromising God’s Word. How does the Lord deal with someone like this?

Revelation 3:15-16

15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot. 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of my mouth.

The phrase “I am going to vomit you out of my mouth” refers to rejection. When you play both sides, fully knowing or unaware by being self-deceived, you are living a life of godlessness.

When a person claims to be in Christ and rejects the Word of God by adding to it with other materials, Jesus spits you out from Himself to have nothing to do with you.

According to Genesis 3, the extra-biblical sources comes from Satan. If you do this or even support it, you are supporting the devil himself.

Jesus repudiates men’s traditions [extra-biblical sources].

Matthew 15:1-3

Then Jesus was approached by Pharisees and scribes from Jerusalem, who asked, 2 “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they don’t wash their hands when they eat.” 3 He answered them, “Why do you break God’s commandment because of your tradition?

Matthew 15:8

This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

Professing believers who claim that they are honoring the Lord and are drinking from another source are making their hearts go farther from Him.

What type of Christian are you, a people-pleaser or a person that pleases God?

You cannot be both.

God Reveals More Of Himself To Those Whose Faith Is Immovable

The Tabernacle in the Wilderness

Numbers 12:4-8

4 Suddenly the LORD said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “You three come out to the tent of meeting.” So the three of them went out. 5 Then the LORD descended in a pillar of cloud, stood at the entrance to the tent, and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them came forward, 6 he said:

“Listen to what I say:
If there is a prophet among you from the LORD,
I make myself known to him in a vision;
I speak with him in a dream.
7 Not so with my servant Moses;
he is faithful in all my household.
8 I speak with him directly,
openly, and not in riddles;
he sees the form of the LORD.

Miriam was the instigator who got Aaron their brother involved against Moses because they didn’t like his wife.

Miriam didn’t realize that messing with Moses was like messing with God Himself which is extremely dangerous. God called all three into the tent of meeting to deal with Moses’ accuser. If you look at verse 8 which says, “I speak with him directly, openly, and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD.” It was in reference to having more knowledge. Let’s focus on the word “form” which gives the meaning of more insight or understanding of who God is which is revealed only to the faithful.

In Deuteronomy 4:15-17 which says, “15 “Diligently watch yourselves—because you did not see any form on the day the LORD spoke to you out of the fire at Horeb— 16 so you don’t act corruptly and make an idol for yourselves in the shape of any figure: a male or female form, 17 or the form of any animal on the earth, any winged creature that flies in the sky…”

If you notice, God didn’t show the Israelites His form, more revelation about Himself, because they didn’t have strong faith like Moses and would eventually fall into idolatry, making an image of God’s form and end up worshipping that instead of the Living God.

The reason God showed Moses His form was that his faith was solid, being completely dedicated to the LORD.

When our faith is strong, steadfast, immovable, and completely devoted to Jesus Christ, He will reveal more of Himself through His Word to us.

Revelation 6:1-2, Who Is The Rider On The White Horse?

Antichrist
The rider on the white horse [Rev. 6:1-2] coming to conquer the inhabitants of the earth
The question is who is the rider on the white horse, Jesus or the Antichrist?

Revelation 6:1-2

Then I saw the Lamb open one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, “Come!” 2 I looked, and there was a white horse. Its rider held a bow; a crown was given to him, and he went out as a conqueror in order to conquer.

The rider on the white horse starts off the Great Tribulation.

Revelation 19:11-16

11 Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse. Its rider is called Faithful and True, and he judges and makes war with justice. 12 His eyes were like a fiery flame, and many crowns were on his head. He had a name written that no one knows except himself. 13 He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his name is called the Word of God. 14 The armies that were in heaven followed him on white horses, wearing pure white linen. 15 A sharp sword came from his mouth, so that he might strike the nations with it. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will also trample the winepress of the fierce anger of God, the Almighty. 16 And he has a name written on his robe and on his thigh: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

This rider is Jesus Christ as we see keywords or phrases as “His name is called the Word of God”, “The armies that were in heaven followed him on white horses, wearing pure white linen.”, and “A sharp sword came from his mouth”

  • Jesus is called the Word of God in John 1:1,14
  • At Jesus’ second coming, He will come with the saint’s Revelation 19:8, Matthew 24:29-31
  • A double-edged sword is referenced to Jesus in Revelation 1:16

Jesus will only come after the Great Tribulation and not during the beginning of it like in the first seal according to Matthew 24:29-30 which says, 29 “Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not shed its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn; and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

So the rider in Revelation 6:1-2 cannot be Jesus because that rider with the bow will start the Tribulation while Jesus comes to defeat the Antichrist after the Great Tribulation to set up His millennial kingdom.

Unless God opens our eyes, how can we understand anything? I thank the Lord God Almighty who gives His children who seek His face insight and understanding.
