Matthew 6:24
“No one can be a slave of two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot be slaves of God and of money.
When the road divides in two (to the left and to the right), humanly speaking, it is impossible to walk in both roads. In God’s eyes that is the same to Him, spiritually speaking, you cannot please the Lord with the pleasures of this world through money and at the same time live for Christ because one will overtake the other.
You can only have one God, the God of heaven, Jesus Christ or the god of this world, (money) which the devil uses to take you away from Jesus, as seen in 1 Timothy 6:9-10 But those who want to be rich fall into temptation, a trap, and many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and by craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains.
Money only gives you temporary joy (fumes that last but a few moments) but the joy that comes from the Lord lasts for eternity since only He can fill the void that’s in your heart because only in Him do you find true love.
There is only one driver’s seat in your heart. Who are you going to give it to, Jesus or Satan? I pray that you choose Jesus!
